I was traveling around WV and picked this because it was a convenient stopping point and looked interesting. It was even better than I expected. I was running late, but when I tried to call, I found myself in an area with no service. At my next stop, I found a voicemail asking about my plans and expressing concern about...

We enjoyed our time here with Dan and his animals. He has two friendly cats and two dogs. We did not get to pet the dogs but loved the cats, Caramel and Butterscotch. Dan is very friendly and so easy to visit with at breakfast. You get a muffin, coffee, juice and cereal. It was a good way to start...

We had a great stay at the Inn. Loved the room. I could watch the fish swim by on one side and watch the trains on the other. Enjoyed our visit. All though we didn't eat there we were welcome to. It is a wonderful place to visit.

I recently returned from my second visit to the Elkhorn Inn, with my first visit having taken place three years ago. Both visits were nothing short of phenomenal- in large part to the innkeepers, Dan and Elisse. The Inn itself is quite pleasant, and as others have said, art decorates virtually every inch of wall space. The rooms and their...

Had a fantastic stay. Great historic accommodation with unique rooms. Hosts really welcoming. Setting is superb and also great for watching the trains go by. Chef Dan's breakfast was superb. Highly recommended.

Elkhorn Inn is a great place for train watching. I don't think there is anywhere that you could possibly be as close to the tracks. Dan and Elisse are wonderful hosts. We arrived at the Inn much later than we anticipated, but it was not a problem for them. I called that we would be late and Elisse still offered...

I had a fine time at the Elkhorn Inn . Main purpose of my trip was to fly fish but alas the river was quite high and fast and too difficult to wade for me ( so check stream conditions before you go there to fish ) …nevertheless …I very much enjoyed my visit . Dan and Elise are two...

I stayed at the Elkhorn Inn in May of last year for a special party weekend. Dan and Elisse Clark were fantastic hosts! They were especially helpful in assisting me with my concerns about my broken leg. Chef Dan went out of his way to accommodate me, and created a special, delicious, and memorable dinner party that will not be...

Nestled in the hills of Kimball, WV, the Elkhorn Inn is like taking a trip through time. A well preserved 1920's period building with a NYC art gallery hidden inside. The cuisine rivals any 5 star restaurant courtesy of its resident Chef , Dan Clark. he is an absolute master and prepares dishes from all over the world. His clay-pot...

We spent the night at Elkhorn Inn recently and really enjoyed being able to watch all the trains that went by, even during the night. If you like trains, then this is the place to stay. The dinner Dan prepared was excellent, and we enjoyed chatting with both Dan and Elise. The hotel itself is a little "funky," filled with...
