We arrived late in the evening from Scotland on the Friday as my husband Son and granddaughter were going to Alton Towers in the morning. The couple that run it are nice people but I cant excuse dirty cutlery and glasses and the smell of animals in the entrance hall is no no for us and we do have a dog...

Great setting, charming old house with uneven floors and wonky stairs, great hosts, wonderful breakfasts, definitely better than the travelodge! Brilliant place to stay for Alton towers. Not spankingly clean but it's an old house and it'd be impossible to be permanently spotless.

My Girlfriend and I stayed at the Abbot's Haye for 1 night when we went to Alton Towers for her birthday. The Building was very nice and cute, the owner was also very welcoming and accommodation. We had dinner in the nearby village Cheadle, there was a nice selection of restaurants but nothing special. Breakfast was great, I had never...

Spent two nights here whilst visiting alton towers. Excellent location between the park and cheadle for evening meals. Pam is lovely and very welcoming, we felt like we were staying around a friends house, very relaxed and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, nice to see Staffordshire oatcakes on the menu too! Very accommodating with our 1 year old son also giving...

We recently stayed for 1 night , the owner Pam was lovely and very kindly gave us a lift to the party we were attending. Our room was large and the bed comfortable although rather squeaky! The decor was a bit tired and the carpet, whilst clean was quite stained. The breakfast was lovely, one of the best we've had...

The lady who runs it is very friendly however a bit more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning and a bit of decorating required! The house smelt strongly of animals so was put off quite a bit and had to sleep with windows open which made it very cold!! Beds were comfy if not a bit squeaky

Very nice b&b, clean, comfortable and very friendly staff. The house looks a bit worn out from the outside, but lovely inside. Great breakfast!!! Good location near the village with shops, banks and pubs.

We stayed here for 1 night before visiting Alton Towers. The grounds of the Guest House looked so promising but as we neared the building it looked very run down and dirty and that never left us... Could hear the guy snoring in the next room. Disgusting and dusty, cobwebs and mould. I felt really unclean. Our room was above...

We went to a wedding in a near-by town when we stayed at Abbot's Haye. Someone else had booked the room for us, so we had no idea what to expect. The house is off the main route, but the SatNav had no trouble locating it. The hosts were very accommodating and worked around our earlier arrival time enabling us...

“I had room 1. All rooms are protected from outside noise however I could hear the water pipes but it really was not bother.”

“It is only a 20 min walk into cheadle, where there are plenty of pubs, restaurants etc, including one of Wetherspoons latest pub refurbishments. All the rooms have a different character and all have different wonderful views. You will not be dissapointed, but do not make any snap judgements let the place grow on you. There is a problem with sat nav, so ring Pam or Rob for better directions, especially if arriving late @ night. ENJOY.”
