Took my daughter there for her birthday treat for a couple of nights. The staff went above and beyond by putting up a happy birthday banner plus a card and choccies without being asked. The room was very nice. Our only gripe was that you couldn’t take a stand up shower. You needed to sit in the Bath and use the shower head, there is no shower curtain. The hotel itself is lovely and well decorated and very clean. The location and views are beautiful. The food served was well presented and tasty. Breakfast was a choice of continental and full English, poached eggs etc. Evening meal was a set menu, which reasonably priced with generous portions. They also did us a beautifully presented Afternoon Tea which was delicious. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

An overnighter with friends in an area we’d never been to before. Whiston Hall is part of what looks to be a picturesque golf course. There looks to be work is in progress on the Hall, so views from our room were unfavourable. The current management have done an excellent job with a tired building however none of this distracted from the welcome we received and the impeccable standard of the food, service and total receptiveness of the staff!!! The Menu choices were a delight and the chicken wings are the best I’ve ever eaten! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Just come back from a weekend trip to Alton towers for our son's 30th birthday and stayed at whiston hall as it was the perfect location only 10 minutes drive from the theme park. Have to say from the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They even decorated my son's room with balloons banners and left him a birthday card and box of maltesers way more than we imagined or expected. The food was outstanding. The staff especially Marlena were so friendly and helpful and really "pushed the boat out". When we next visit Alton towers or want to stay in this area we know where we will be booking up for. Once again a massive thank you to all at whiston hall and we hope to see you in the near future

We’ll be recommending Whiston Hall for any occassion. We came for a set menu for Mother’s day, an extra effort had been made with decor all around. The set menu was the best I’d seen and every single person said how beautiful the food had been, best in the area! Chef with 30 years experience and you can tell! Amazing value for money, £40 each for 3 courses and a drink, plus the unbeatable view of the course It was lovely to be recognised as we also had the wake for our late grandad at Whiston. Such lovely owners who genuinely care about what they do. Already booked for next time!

On arrival, driving through the gates, the hotel is impressive and stands in its own large grounds. The golf is currently 9 holes but the layout, fairways and greens all look worth a game. Unfortunately a wonky knee stopped me playing. The rooms are large, clean and well furnished with a big, comfortable double bed. The food was excellent and there was a big breakfast, well cooked by mine host. The hosts and the staff were all very friendly, helpful and easy to get on with

Stayed here for a night with my 9 year old niece in May as we wanted a short and sweet stay whilst visiting Alton Towers! The hotel was literally about 15 minutes from the park and was beautiful. Plenty of parking, great room sizes and lovely food with the friendliest staff. The hotel has a large golf course and also hosts Weddings so had a real mixture of guests depending on what the visit was for. Bed was so comfy and had a great sleep after a full on day at the park. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again for at least 2 nights next time. Even my niece loved the hotel and was sad to go so soon. Thank you all for a fab stay!
