We stay here when we are visiting family, quite a few timesa year. We think it is excellent value for money, the rooms are always spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds always with nice crisp white sheets.
Pillows a bit bouncy - but certainly never a major problem!

The room appeared clean however the vent in the bathroom was incredibly noisy throughout the night even with the door shut.
Only 1/2 hr free WiFi then you have to pay for it - in this day & age, WiFi should be available for guests without additional charges.
And charging £20 for pets - which we understand however we believe it should be refunded if there is no mess/stains. Wouldn’t take long for a quick check of the room when checking out & then give the money back. Understand there can be occasions when some pets have accidents & the need for cleaning and that’s when the £20 is required.
Basically every time we stay as a family, travelodge is getting an extra ÂŁ20 for the pet.
It is however in a good position with the Duke of Gloucester which is a lovely pub with good food.
Stay here at least twice a year when travelling north & have been for some time.

I was travelling South down the M6 and wanted to break my stay, so selected the Travelodge in Crewe. This was a good choice - the hotel is well up to the average Travelodge standard, with large rooms (lacking soft chairs, but including the usual desk area) and a bath/shower (which for once was in perfect working order). Unlike some Travelodges, there is a lift that goes to all floors.
It's just off the Eastern bypass to Crewe (A5020) but set far enough away from the road to be very quiet. I had no problem with noise from other residents.
There's a large car park, and a convenient Coop store adjacent; within a couple of minutes' walk there's also a new Aldi, a Subway, a Greggs (in the petrol station) a pub, and a Chinese takeaway.
The lady on reception was unusually friendly for a chain hotel and made me feel welcome.
As always, the quibbles are the limited free internet access and the uninspiring breakfast box - but the latter is no problem with the alternatives available close by.

I had stopped off in Crewe overnight to visit family before travelling on to Scotland for our holiday. Myself, partner, daughter (11 years old) and dog stayed in the family room, room 206 on the ground floor. The receptionist was really friendly and welcoming. The room smelt really clean. There was enough room for all of us and a nice big comfort bed + a small single bed for our daughter. The charge was only £25 per night + £20 extra for our dog to stay. A Chinese, subway and co op opposite the hotel and also a pub. I was slightly concerned about the pub being so close but we didn’t hear anything during the evening. We all slept so well and had subway for breakfast then headed on our way. I definitely will stay again as the price is great for what you get.

Room 109 had stains on carpet and marks on wall, watch battery's and coins in toilet bowl.was a 3 person room only had 2 cups and 2 chairs. Sister and husband stayed in room 310 we asked for 2 more cups so they could have a cup of tea with us in are room. The man on night reception refused saying only 3 people allowed in room and this was not negotiable he was very unpleasant and abrupt. room 310 only had one chair. The rooms cost ÂŁ100 each for one night we do not bleaive this was value for money we're very disappointed and spoilt my sister 70th birthday celebrations will not stay again.

Welcomed upon arrival, clean room, tea&coffee facilities, television, ample space for our travel cot in the room. As a family of 5 having the space to all sleep comfortably was important and we have always found Travelodge to be the most cost effective and convenient places to stay for us. Crewe travelodge is local to many places for food, has a couple of shops and a pub in very close proximity.
We were never bothered by any outside noise.
Staff are helpful and friendly and it was just a nice place to come back to and just relax. Room is nice and dark at night and we had a view of the river which was lovely.

If you get for under ÂŁ50 & have a room at the back, it's well worth it. However get a lower floor due to water pressure. Staff are friendly and professional.
If you stay at the weekend get a room at the back, TBH always get one at the back, the pub has live bands etc and you will think there is an earthquake outside.

We stayed just after Christmas for a couple of nights (was that allowed, I get confused)! We had a very comfy, dog friendly room which was pristine. The very large bed was extremely comfy, and both of the female (sorry, forgot your names) receptionists were most friendly and helpful. The breakfast pack was nice. Would definitely use this accommodation again.

Unfortunately for the first 2 days of our 4 night stay the lift was not available from the ground floor due to a damaged call button, but the lady on reception insisted on running upstairs for us to send the lift down when we needed it, truly service over and above.
There is a Tesco Extra about 10 minutes away and a Hungry Horse pub even nearer, which were very handy.
In the car park is a small group of shops including a small Coop and a Chinese takeaway. Again customer service was excellent when the Travelodge receptionist offered to loan us plates and cutlery so we could eat the takeaway in the lounge area.
There is an Aldi just on the other side of the road as you leave the car park and also a quite expensive pub at the top of the car park, which we didn't use, but I was able to connect to their free WiFi and use that.

Travelodge Crewe is in great location. Well appointed - excellent room. Breakfast to go helpful but v basic and other hotels are now offering cooked breakfast. The Wifi setup is the most problematic ever experienced. A member of staff had to help set it up and only managed it by phoning Virgin. She was exceedingly helpful.
There is a pub nearby for evening meals - the Duke of Gloucester. Also a Subway facility.
