i was booked in here by work while i was on a course locally. very clean bar, restaurant and rooms, all the staff very friendly and chatty, food in the evening was really nice and the breakfast was just as good. we were told that it had been under new management for only 2 weeks but they had already settled...

management has changed since last comment and i found all is great friendly new managers and very clean pub with good food and fantastic breakfast we have family close by and find the rooms fantastic value and good size everyone has different views i can only tell you my experience

We were meet by a drunken chief and and Lady that was very old and would not stop taking. The place was was dirty and there were flies in the window Breakfast was cold and on the table awaiting us. I would NEVER suggest anyone stays there. All the lady did was moan on and the drunken chief and herself....

The staff are over accommodating, the room was clean warm and very well equipped with everything a traveller needs to make them feel at home. The food offered is exceptional and well prepared. Staff were all lovely, even the chef made us feel welcomed, he's obviously a lovely lad & the food was beautiful. will recommend highly & will return soon as im looking forward to having a steak and ale pie again (yum yum).

Four of us ate at the Verdin Arms on a Friday evening. There were three other parties there, two couples and a larger group.
