My mother booked this as a birthday surprise and once revealed I was very excited as I'd had he delight of attending an evening wedding reception a couple of years back. From start to finish the service was impeccable and flawless and it was truly humbling to be somewhere where the staff seemed to have time for their guests, enjoy...

The location is fantastic. Quiet, tranquil and will hardly any mobile reception, it makes for a lovely, relaxing break. Rooms are comfortable and have everything you could need. We ate in the brasserie and the food was lovely, served quickly and very tasty.

This was our second visit to Peckforton Castle and sadly our last. The room was very small and close to the stairwell resulting in high levels of noise transfer - just as well I didn't want an afternoon nap! My real gripe was the 1851 restaurant. The service was appalling, the food was ok, certainly not the standard I expected....

From the moment I first called up to book our restaurant table ahead of our stay the experience and interaction with the staff was exceptional. The staff, particularly Peter on reception went out of their way to ensure our stay was the best it could possibly be. It was suggested to me that as it was me and my partner's...

We stayed at Peckforton Castle for one night in December for a works Christmas party. The castle and grounds are beautiful, we went for a lovely romantic walk. The room was by far the nicest room i've ever stayed in; large but so comfy and cosy. We'll definitely be returning.

Peckforton Castle exceeded all of our expectations, the grounds were stunning and the room was lovely. We enjoyed dinner in the Brasserie; which was faultless. During our stay any difficulties we had were dealt with promptly and efficiently by staff. Percy the Manager on duty ensured that our needs were met and excelled himself throughout the night. Liam, the Porter,...

We recently stayed here, as we attended a family wedding, it was beautiful and everything little thing was perfect for the bride and groom. The room we stayed in was spotless and beautiful. The staff were fantastic and polite. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and the waitress was their if you needed anything. We will definitely be staying here again.

Myself, Daughter, Sister-in-law and niece visited the spa today, it was a treat for Mother's Day. What a beautiful place, the castle looks amazing from the outside and the inside dosen't dis-appoint either. We were greeted by very friendly staff in the spa, everything was explained and a glass of prosecco was handed over for each of us. We were...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Peckforton Castle - An enchanting Hotel in the heart of Cheshire. Rising majestically above the Cheshire landscape, the castle is both enigmatic and enchanting. Originally the home of Lord Tollemache and built in the early 19th Century, this Grade I listed building is the only intact medieval style Castle in the country. Over the years the castle has been the location for numerous movies including Robin Hood and Dr Who. Now owned by the Naylor family, the stunning exterior has been complemented by a loving and considered restoration programme resulting in a magnificent hotel and venue offering contemporary luxury and impeccable service. Services include 48 stunning individual guest rooms, conference, events, and wedding facilities for up to 180. Tranquility beauty, on site Falconry and team activities all adding up to a rather magical experience. Dining at the Castle truly is a special occasion, welcoming the public as well as hotel guests. The 1851 Restaurant offers a dining experience fit for royalty. Holder of 3 AA Rosettes and a Taste Cheshire Award. Alternatively the more informal and cosmopolitan 2010 Brasserie, located in the former scullery of the castle, features many of the amazing features of the original scullery including two cast iron cooking ranges dating back to the 1840's. Peckforton Castle's enchanting medieval style beauty and stunning location make it a truly impressive and desirable venue for weddings, christenings, birthday parties, or just about anything that's worth celebrating. Everything plays a part; the fabulous setting, stunning location, the attentive service and smiling faces, the bespoke menus and decorations. A magnificent venue for conferencing and meetings. Within the medieval walls, old and new combine seamlessly to offer state of the art multi media and conference facilities. Captivating on arrival, Peckforton Castle's unspoilt, natural beauty will stimulate and motivate, delight the eye, inspire the mind, tantalise the taste buds and leave you enchanted. ... more   less
