One night overnight for business purposes with my Wife who was working nearby. Lovely clean hotel, very picturesque and friendly staff. Very quiet location, lovely gardens with ample seating. Would certainly recommend to others. Free WIFI which is very good quality. Stunning scenery nearby and only a 10 min drive to Whitehaven.

Garden room was great as we gas our dog with us so no issue with getting out in a hurry. Staff great with dog and he enjoyed the attention lavished on him! Staff very helpful and organised our meals to be served in the bar room ( much classier than thus sounds). Room needs better insulation from the one above....

Outside of the hotel and location is fantastic. It could be such a lovely hotel as the grounds are really quite pretty & staff helpful. However, a few things let it down - big time. Firstly, the mould in the bathroom. We're talking furry, green and right by your head when you shower. See pic below. This clearly had not...

Had a nice stay over the bank holiday weekend. Took our pooch with us and he was a big hit with the staff. Not stayed in a dog friendly hotel before, but I can say that this one is very clean. If you didn't know they allowed dogs here, you probably would never guess. So big thumbs up for that....

This is an old country hotel. The breakfast is great. Wonderful dinner. Well stocked bar. Free parking and wifi. No lift (elevator) - all rooms on 2nd floor. Our hot water tap was quirky - turn it all the way on - nothing comes out - pull up - water on full/boiling hot. First morning the water stopped in the...

Stayed few times. Hotel is very handy for the lakes. Had a family room which is a decent size. Didnt sleep much as bed very firm and had a room overlooking the main road which whilst isnt very busy is noisy. Food a disappointment, didnt leave any lasting impression but breakfast was nice. With the hotel being busier than any...

We visited over the easter bank holiday weekend. The rooms were very clean, tidy and the beds were really comfy. Dogs are welcome which is a bonus. The food in the restaurant is beautiful and I would definitely recommend the duck! The onlyndownsife was on the Saturday night, the young girls who were waitressing and serving on the bar, didn't...
