Like many reviews bellow I would advise giving this place a wide berth. The main reason being the aggressive and unpleasant attitude of the landlord. Think Basil Fawlty without the humour. The place itself is also very run down and needs complete refurbishment. The carpark is more like a gravel pit than anything else. I am unable to comment on...

Went in for late lunch and found great and very inexpensive thai food. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. Pub has interesting history and is next to the King Arthur's round table and walking distance from Mayburgh Henge.

I had recently moved to close by the Crown Hotel, and keen to try all the local establishments, I read the reviews. Some of them weren't good about the decor and rooms if you stayed overnight, but positive about the food on offer. We are keen on Thai food and the meal was fabulous. The owners are a lovely couple...

We went in and were greeted by a very pleasant lady and gentleman. Decor was desperately in need of a complete overhaul, which was quite off putting. Order was taken quickly, and the lady went off to the kitchen to cook our meals. Presentation was exceptional. Food was tasty, fresh and well worth the money. Shame about the decor. If...

This place is awful - we arrived - there was no hot water, no showers, leaking soil pipes. Place needs a complete refurb - how it continues to trade with modern health and safety regulations beggars belief. It provided one of the main talking points for our C2C ride for all the wrong reasons. I suppose I should have known...

So me and my friends booked this hotel last minute and paid 270 for a party of six people so we weren't expecting luxury. The hotel is falling to bits and in desperate need of updating. The bathroom has no shower either but this was the least of our problems! We all decided to have something to eat here as...

We didn't stay at this hotel - just went for a meal. Saw the sign for Thai food and thought we would give it a go. The interior seemed a bit old fashioned. We ate in the bar not the restaurant. The lady who greeted us (the chef?) was very pleasant, took our order and wandered off to cook the...

Adequate and basic. No overhead showers. Ensuite rooms only have baths. Shower is in shared bathroom and is hand held style. Rooms quite large. Old style decor. Comfy bed. Single glazing, Windows painted shut. Can hear people chatting at pub over the road. Highchairs are present but required cleaning. Bit dusty under the stairs as I guess not used much....

We stopped at this Hotel for a Thai meal. Initially we were a little surprised that we were allocated a seat in the Main Bar as opposed to the restaurant, but no matter. The food served was wonderful and everything was going well until a Cockroach alighted onto my companion's arm, jumped off, and then scuttled away! This put us...

Positives: landlord, Mike, is friendly and very accommodating. Thai food is tasty and chef, Anna, is very sweet. Negative: totally underinvested and sadly needs a lot of work. Arrived and no hot water available. Pan under sewage pipe in toilet that had been there a while. No shower facility. Really noisy next to main road. Fire door hinge broken and...
