Have visited here numerous times with kids/family/friends and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is great, a typical Cumbrian pub with an open fire which is always very inviting especially in the colder months. The food has always been delicious even when I've been and it's been jam packed. The staff are great, so all in all one to visit...

Have just returned from a 3rd stay here in last 3 months whilst working in the area with a colleague. I found the rooms basic but clean, warm and comfortable beds with tea and coffee making facilities in each of the three different rooms I stayed in each visit. Family room does not have a shower only a bath but...

There were twelve of us booked in, we arrived to a friendly greeting and shown to our table, where we chose our food from an extensive menu. The service was great and we were kept topped up with drinks if required. The food was great no complaints at all. Prices very fair. A great village pub well worth a visit...

16 of us (8 adults/8 children) had an early evening meal. We were asked to pre-order, which was fine, and meant the food prep started as soon as we arrived. Staff were extremely friendly & attentive, food was really good and very nicely presented. A gem! Well worth a visit.

This is a friendly local in the heart of the really nice village of Broughton. We had a Sunday roast and the place was packed with locals. Great atmosphere not at all trendy which added to its authentic charm. Good attentive fast service and the food was excellent and good value for money. Make sure you book a table.

Very homely and cosy pub, the food was amazing, I feel as though it has got better over the past 12 months. Comfortable seats and lots of room to eat, hate being cramped! Great alcohol and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Ate here last night as part of a family meal whilst staying in Millom. We preordered our food and it came pretty much straight after we arrived which was brilliant. The steak pie was brilliant as well as the vegetable curry. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Only thing that let it down, which we fully understand has nothing to do with...
