Having a lovely weekend break staying in the Strawberry Bank Suite at The Mason Arms. The accommodation is of the highest standard I have enjoyed with excellent service and tremendous Lake District views. I have been that pleased with our stay, that I couldn't even wait to get home to put a review up. This is an experience that I...

We ate here as a couple for a late lunch and the food was some of the best we had whilst on our stay. I had a steak and blue cheese pie with chip and it was outstanding, my other half had fish and chip and the batter was light and crisp PERFECT ! Thanks for our meal buy the...

Lovely setting even tho the weather was terrible. We got the last table on a Monday lunchtime, meal was delicious, the Cod in tomato sauce with black potatoes was delicious and the Bsrnsley chop was enjoyed by my friend and we shared the Honeycomb Cheescake. Would definitely go back.

We have stayed and eaten at the Masons before and everything has always been excellent. Accommodation, food, friendly and efficient staff. Having been totally disappointed by Chesters we decided to try and eat at the Mason's on our way home, on the off chance that we could get a table. All the tables were taken except for one which had...

We have been here numerous times to eat and have really enjoyed the food. We decided to stay over one night on a weekend away with friends. I was really disappointed with the room, although the bed was really comfortable. I would advise not to have the rooms with a bed shelf or mezzanine, as in my room, the wardrobe...

Booked a weekend in the Cartmel Suite at the Masons Arms - very smart décor and a cosy place to come back to after a walk across the Fells on a bright, cold February day. The Masons Arms offers that cosy cottage type accommodation with the added advantage of being attached to a fantastic restaurant and bar with a great...

Visited for dinner with my husband and two youngest children whilst staying in the area this week. We booked a table, as we noticed it got very busy when driving past through the week. We loved the interior which was very cosy and tastefully decorated. Service was efficient throughout the evening, though not quite as friendly as other pubs in...

This was a great find for Valentines weekend at the south end of lake Windermere with views over Cartmel Fell . This oldie worldie pub with bags of character, roaring log fires, great accommodation and even better food. A great selection of local hand pulled ales as well. It just couldn't get any better!! John the assistant manager was very...
