I've stayed here half a dozen times with my husband Tim. We love it for the warm welcome, comfy farm and delicious breakfast. Our dog Minnie is welcomed too. I've taken a photo of this mornings breakfast!

Four of us stayed for two nights recently while walking in Eskdale. A warm welcome, fantastic breakfasts and a very comfortable stay was enjoyed in this a traditional lakeland farmhouse. This is a delightful working farm and we will be returning before too long.

I spent two nights here with three friends while completing the Furness Way long distance path. We could not have been happier with what was provided. It is important to emphasise that this is a working farm and not a boutique hotel. (Thank goodness they still exist!) Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Marie is an amazing host, and despite...

My friend and I stayed at Wha House farm for one night at the end of May 2013 during our coast-2-coast cycle trip. We were met by Marie Crow who invited us to use her yard to hose down our muddy bikes and then provided storage for the bikes overnight. The farm was easy to find and was well placed...

Rooms clean and tidy with a large shared bathroom & seperate shower room out on the landing. Don't expect chic or boutique, this is...

This is a fantastic place. Great price but above all friendly, warm, helpful and relaxed. Wonderful setting, working farm with those incredible herdwick sheep (survive almost anything all around). Working dogs and then there is the valley to die for. Walk, drive, promenade, whatever but come it's a really special area and a special place. Its a must.

Lovely traditional working farm B & B - no ensuite but with a family bathroom, and separate toilet and separate shower room this would not really be an issue. David & Marie very welcoming keen to share their life and interested in you making the most of your visit. Communal facilities and everything thought about carefully - maps of the...

Wha House Farm in Eskdale is a National Trust Hill Farm tenanted by hill farmers Mr & Mrs Crowe. Their sheep roam as far as Scafell Pike. The farmhouse is clean and comfortable and like most NT farms in this area which provide Bed and Breakfast, there are no en-suite facilities, however this is reflected in the price per night....
