You have to stay here if you're visiting the Lakes! We're just home from a 4 night stay at the gorgeous Overwater Hall and are truly sad to have left! From the moment we arrived, we were given such a warm welcome and I have honestly never stayed anywhere so accommodating. Steve and Angela are exceptional hosts, warm and friendly...

Incredible food, has to be tasted to be believed. Our room was overlooking the car park, but had a wonderful view of the hills beyond, fresh fruit and bottles of water plus a "nightcap" are free, the nightcap is delicious by the way. Service was wonderful, staff were helpful and friendly and very polite. (I accidentally broke a bowl in...

Booked a two dinner bed and breakfast night stay. The hotel is relatively small and run by extremely competent hosts and staff. The grounds are attractive and provide good walks. Our room was a good size with a comfortable bed and an excellent large bathroom and with a useful anti room with a sofa and television. The main feature is...

Warm welcome at this lovely hotel in a wonderful position. The Afternoon Tea at the Hotel was delicious. Good choice of fresh sandwiches, warm scones with generous jam and cream, and a selection of cakes.

Visited for afternoon tea with 2 dogs and we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The service was brilliant and the tea was lovely. Everything seemed homemade, even including the jam, servings were generous and there was a large selection of cakes. It was too much for us to eat so we were given the leftovers in a box to...

Our second visit here, this time for a special birthday weekend, so expectations were high. We weren't disappointed, however, as everything from the superb food to the comfortable rooms was as remembered. Also, as before, the proprietors and all of their staff were extremely welcoming and attentive throughout our stay.
