Spent christmas at this hotel two years running, and cannot fault it. Spacious room with comfortable beds, cosy bar, wonderful views of the lake and fabulous food. Best of all, always, is the staff who are the most professional and friendly hotel staff I have ever known. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are warm, kind and work as...

My wife and I stayed at the Lakeside Hotel over Christmas. The whole experience exceeded expectations. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. This is a quality hotel but with a relaxed, informal feel that we appreciated. Highly recommended.

Afternoon tea with the family & a night staying in the hotel, - a treat for our grandparents as they have good disabled access to both the restaurant & rooms. Overall the afternoon tea had a good choice of sandwiches & cakes and a vast variety of traditional loose-leaf tea. My grandparents said they also enjoyed stopping over, the room...

Came for a 3 night pre Christmas break on December 14th this time staying in a suite with a spa treatment booked and dinner in the Ruskin brasserie on the final night. So love coming back here and this was our eleventh visit to stay. The staff are all excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Not cheap but quality...

Our second visit to the Lakeside. Again an absolutely delightful weekend with our seven year old granddaughter. Everyone is so helpful, the suite we had was so very comfortable, warm and spacious. The food is superb. Excellent pool and spa. Felt we had been really spoilt. We shall visit again and have bought a gift voucher for our daughter and...

My Wife and I held our daughters wedding and stayed at the Lakeside Hotel on 03rd December this year and we can not speak highly enough of the Hotel. The wedding was held in the Windermere suite which is a converted pub just across the road from the main hotel. This is an excellent building with its own self contained...

Small luxury weddings of 20-60 people are Lakeside’s speciality. We offer the opportunity to be married in the hotel, followed by Champagne and photographs by the lake shore and then a private exclusive venue for your celebrations. In the winter your wedding breakfast takes place in our Lakeview Conservatory, less than a stone’s throw from the water. So you can...

We have just returned from the Lakeside Hotel. It was a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, excellent food, relaxing and comfortable rooms. The staff were extremely professional, ALL of the staff from the housekeeping to the reception staff. In the restaurant, the staff were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. On two nights of...

Very nice hotel, good location... 20 minute drive to Windermere, bit further to Ambleside. Large family room plenty of space and the teens were in a small adjacent room with doors, in full size bunk beds which they were happy with. Staff were lovely in every department, spa / pool quiet and enjoyable, didn't have treatments but teens did use...

We have some of the best family accommodation in the Lake District. Family rooms for adults and up to 3 children enjoy either an internal second bedroom, when children sleep or have double sized rooms. Interconnecting rooms allow plenty of space to lose yourself…..and others

We paid the extra for a lake view room and were not disappointed. We woke each morning and had coffee on our own little terrace 50 metres from the shore of Lake Windermere. The hotel is an old country house that has been added to with the addition of a large conservatory to make the most of the view and...

Our Ultimate Lakeview rooms enjoy a seating area to make most of the views of Lake Windermere. Terrace rooms also have a furnished patio but what is unique about Lakeside is the unrivalled location of our bedrooms by the lake….. less than a stone’s throw away from the water.
