We brought our young Grandson to this fabulous hotel and enjoyed the nearby ammenities of the Swan Ferry to Bowness, the train to Haverthwaite's Thomas Experience, and the Aquarium. All the Lakeside Staff made us very welcome with superb rooms and kindness in dealing with our grandson's needs. We swam each day in the pool which was just perfect. The...

LSHotel, Spa at Lakeside Hotel, responded to this review

The 17m pool at Lakeside is very unique in that it is exclusively for the use of hotel residents and spa guests. So with no local membership, it is a great place to enjoy a large hotel swimming pool which overlooks Lake Windermere.

We have been visiting the Lakeside hotel for over 12 years and more regularly over the last 8 years at least once every 3 or 4 months since we had our children. The hotel has consistently maintained excellent standards and consistent staff - all of whom are well versed in hospitality. The owner Mr Tolbert has multiple businesses that take...

Having just married, we wanted somewhere special to celebrate. Where better than the Lake District. This hotel is rated 4 stars+ and it deserves its rating. We splashed out and asked for a suite overlooking lake Windermere. Wow, what a view. Perfect! The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful giving advice when asked about local walks etc. We had decent...

Complimentary valet parking is part of the 4 star+ service the Reception team at Lakeside offer. On arrival, pull up at the front door and we will deal with your luggage, park your car and return the key to your room. Of course Windermere Lake Cruises depart from our front door, giving you the opportunity to discover Bowness and Ambleside...

Stayed here for two nights in November. This was our first visit but certainly won't be our last. Quite expensive but actually great value for money. We had a deluxe room with lake view which was amazing as the hotel is directly on the lake shore. The room was quiet extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The restaurant food is excellent...

Had a fabulous day here today, thoroughly enjoyed the views, the attentive staff and the spa treatments. The day was bought as a present for me and my aunty, although i know from the voucher the price was very reasonable for what it included. The staff were fantastic and made us feel like VIP'S and the treatments were equally as...

I have said here on a number of occasions over the last 15 years. The last visit was in October 2016. As always upon arrival you are met by friendly, helpful staff who book you in, take your luggage up to the room and park your car. Facilities are excellent with a lovely spa complex, great views of the lake...

We discovered this Gem of a hotel on the Net about three years ago when searching for a suitable venue for a Vintage Car Club Rally when it proved a tremendous success. Subsequently, we have recently returned home, after our fourth visit, this time with the Grand Children having taken them for a half term break. No matter which category,...

Truly pleasurable weekend visit. Our favourite Lake District hotel to continue to return to. Never disappoints and always something new to report and enjoy. We stayed in one of the lodges that provide a real private getaway and superb private lake views - a particular delight at dawn and dusk. The facilities are tremendous with lake view pool and onsite...

The location is fantastic, right on the shore at Lakeside, a stone’s throw from the pier for the lake steamers and the steam railway station (also an Aquarium). We took the ferry just across the lake to walk to Gummer’s How on one day; and went on a walk from the hotel to High Dam and then Newby Bridge, coming...
