Another great stay at Hartsop Fold. Walks from the doorstep completed - Place Fell and Hartsop above How. Lodge - spotlessly clean, warm and well eqipped as always. Saw herds of deer each night from the veranda - so lucky. After a difficult year, Hartsop Fold put me back on the right track. We will return!

Spent 4 days here at half term school holidays in February 2017 with 13 and 17 year old and 2 dogs We had an amazing time. The location and lodge far exceeded our expectations. We could walk for miles from the lodge and the scenery was stunning. Less than 5 mins walk is a waterfall and paths leading straight to...

Hatrsop Fold is set in a truly beautiful location, surrounded by fells and close to numerous walks, both high level and low. Shops and pubs are close at hand (not quite walking distance for shopping). The accommodation consists of comfortable, spacious, well equipped, self-catering 'lodges'. We had a fabulous week there and would highly recommend it.

I came here twice as a child with my family. Now have stayed here with my Fiancée. It's absolutely stunning! We stayed in Lodge 12 which has uninterrupted views of the valley and is a bit more secluded other than the odd rambler on the empty track nearby. The website honestly doesn't do it justice, even photos don't. The lodge...

Perfect! We have just got back from our fourth visit to Hartsop Fold, and it was excellent again. This time we took the in-laws, and they loved it too. There were 4 adults and 2 dogs, and the lodge is a perfect size. There is a settee bed for an extra 2 people, but it isn't terribly comfy for 2...

Just returned from a week at Hartsop Fold. Stunningly beautiful location, even in the rain, and the lodge was spotless and very comfortable. There were 5 of us plus the dog and we had everything we needed, including supper soft huge bath sheets, constant hot water and a fully equipped kitchen. The only tiny thing the young adults struggled with...

Small group of lodges in a lovely quiet location. Within walking distance of Patterdale and from there walks to St Sunday Crag and others. Lodge very well equipped, double and twin room, with sofa bed in lounge for another 2 people if needed. Nice touch with a small supply of tea, coffee, biscuits and pint of milk in fridge. Covered...

We too have stayed at Hartsop Fold many times - starting in the early 1980's. After a break of several years, I was pleased to discover last year that the site had been refurbished and upgraded and so we booked a week in March. We were not disappointed - the lodges are much improved and the addition of a porch...

We've stayed at Hartsop Fold numerous times, however this is the first time we've been since the lodges have been refurbished. The addition of the porch which incorporates a storage cupboard/drying room (big enough to store bikes in) is a great idea which as we were there over the wet New Year period was in continuous use! The lodges now...
