I stayed at the Cross Keys Hotel on 15/8/16 for one night only in order to attend a wedding at the Villa Levens, which is about 4 miles up the road. On arrival at the Cross Keys there is a large car park at the rear of the pub, which is free. Check in was easy enough and I was...

First impressions of the place we had high hopes. Seemed friendly as we walked in, but things got worse from there. We were given the keys to the cottage and when we looked around we found lots wrong. The bathroom lock was broken and the toilet leaked although this was fixed half way through our stay. The double room was...

the cottage room is average, luckily there was only 3 of us,it would be cramped with 5,only 4 seats in the small lounge, and no dining table, the full english breakfast was hot but no where near the best we have enjoyed, the 2nd breakfast was disappointing,we went down and there were no spare tables, which was bad enough, but we were also ignored for over...

Spent last night here for a family birthday party in Kendal, location was perfect. The hotel was perfect, huge carpark, room was spotless and everything you could wish for in it, including two large bath robes, we were welcomed warmly on out arrival. The full English breakfast plus all the trimmings was superb. What a real bargain price for room,...

We were moving house and hoped to stay in Kirkby Lonsdale at approx £130 per night but as it was last minute the only place near Arnside we could book was the Crosskeys in Milnthorpe at £65 per night. We have had a pint there before but never anything more. We arrived tired and stressed with our move but were...

Lovely service, not just by staff, by locals in the bar too... As we used the entrance from the rear car park, local 'lads' directed us to where we needed to check in... Carrying one of our cases round too... Shown to our twin room with en-suite... Some may call the decor dated, I'd say in fitting with its surroundings......

We stayed at the Cross keys on route to a wedding We had heard of the hotel before but never visited. The hotel has ample parking and a good stopping point for visiting the area. The rooms are nice and compact but our room had a fantastic en suite. If we had one critisism it was a tad too warm...

Stayed for two nights and enjoyed the visit. Food was good Traditional fare and excellent value and the bar was well populated with locals which is always a good sign. Room was comfortable but a little cramped. Breakfast was excellent.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel is surrounded by a wealth of history, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, such as Leighton Moss, and a wide range of visitor attractions Milnthorpe has a long history - its busy Friday street market in the Square dates from 1334.
