I chose this B&B as I wanted to stay in St Bees whilst away overnight for business in Whitehaven. The B&B itself isn't actually in St Bees, which I was disappointed with - although I guess that was my fault for not looking into its exact location in more detail. The B&B is in very pleasant countryside, about 2 miles...

A beautiful home in a beautiful surrounding. Very well kept and the owners John and Mandy were very accommodating. We stayed in a large, spacious room with underfloor heating and a lovely hot shower. The room supplies you with tea, coffee and a little fridge with fresh milk which is so much better than the little pots of UHT milk!...

Great location, and freindly host. The rooms are great, with good quality fixtures and fixings. Breakfast is fantastic. Cooked however you like. On problem is the EE phone signal. Not a slight on the property though. Would definitely stop again.

Our stay at Ellerbeck Manor was wonderful. John greeted us at the door and carried our bags to our room. We were delighted to find our gorgeous room, beautifully presented, immaculate, under floor heating and roll top bath. We had a mini fridge and leather sofa in the room. After a good night's sleep in the comfy bed we awoke...

A disclaimer first, I don't like B&B's in general. I prefer the impersonal experience of a hotel when I travel on business. You won't get that here. The room was fine, everything you would expect, I think the mattress is nearing the end of its life, but that is minor. Nice bathroom. It is in a very rural area, however...

This is a converted barn amongst other converted farm buildings which are private homes. It is a quiet countryside retreat. The accomodation has a lounge area for the use of visitors which has a fridge freezer and fresh milk is provided. The rooms are clean very comfortable and have all that you would need. The floors are wooden rather than carpeted so...

My son and I stayed here for two nights to explore a little of the North-Western Lake district and we found the place very relaxing and a lovely little bolthole to explore from. It's owned by a couple who are very friendly, and will chat about the local area and fall over backwards to help if you have any difficulty....
