We were staying in our camper an overnight before setting off on the Coast to Coast Walk and fancied a pint. This was the place we chose. It was quiet on a Sunday evening we received a warm welcome, friendly service and a couple of...More

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Room size was good and quality of bed even better. Bathroom was a bit shabby and reasonably clean. There was live music in the bar right below us, so we enjoyed every bit of the performance, whether we wanted...More

Arrived without booking, but was seated quickly by very friendly staff. Food was excellent-definitely home cooked and the portions are enormous. Can't fault it at all. I'd advise booking if you are thinking of visiting as gets really busy.

Sorry for not answering sooner. I have been away on holiday. We do not accept dogs in our rooms. They are welcome in the bar area if you are calling in for a drink or something to eat.
