We stayed one night here with our dog. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Room was clean and modern with spectacular views of surrounding countryside. We had our Saturday evening meal in the bar where our dog was also welcome. Great quality food and huge portions. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of items which were served quickly. The village...

spent 2 nights here after a week on narrowboat Falkirk to Edinburgh (so much fun, by the way). This is an excellent old traditional pub with a few rooms to let out. Don't go expecting modern, Mercure standard facilities. Instead, look out for ancient beams, crooked floors, real fires and so on. Just perfect. Breakfast is really excellent and to...

Excellent "proper" country pub. We were struggling to decide what to eat until we saw the steak and Guinness pie brought out. Problem solved ! It really was excellent although the other food looked equally good. The real ales were very god and the Royal Reserve Ale from Ulveston was excellent. Staff were very friendly. One minor comment more than...

Had a great couple of days at the White Hart. Room three has loads of character with signs of the age of the building, fabulous. Fully recommend the Cumbrian breakfast ahead of your day out. Notice the old saws and farming tools. At the end of your day relax in the bar with a quality meal and a pint or...

Stayed here weekend, (fri and sat') 27/28/June. to attend wedding at nearby Newby Bridge , local hotels were really expensive and really didn't justify the rates. The pub was very friendly and cosy , the rain was blustering by and we were very happy having a pint and didn't have to move. Although not far from town it still was...

The White Hart Inn is set in a lovely peaceful rural village in South Lakeland, the rooms are of a good standard with more than adequate facilities. The Staff are really friendly and helpful in this busy pub. The food is delicious with an excellent variety on the menu, and breakfast was really good.

Arrived here late afternoon for an overnight stay after touring Yorkshire for 3 days and have to say it was the perfect ending to a lovely break away. Room above pub was very comfortable and clean with en-suite and lovely views over the surrounding fields. As this was Easter Monday the pub was very busy and the restaurant was fully...
