Stayed here for my birthday weekend. Hotel was great, room was warm and cozy, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic, both breakfast and evening meal. Views are fantastic. Would definitely stay here again. As there was not a lift the staff even offered to carry our bags upstairs to our room. Lovely places all around to visit.

We spent 4 nights at Lyzzick Hall Hotel in late November. Room looking south. Very comfortable large bed. Warm and cosy. Facilities all good. Dining out of this world. Wonderful landscape views from the lounges. Excellent service from all the staff from booking to leaving. On the one day we got soaked while out walking, the staff were very helpful...

Love the place. The view was fantastic and the food was good. The building is beautiful as well. However as there is no lift in the hotel, we only brought up our small luggages for the stay and kept the large ones in the car.

This is our second visit this year and it remains our favourite hotel in the UK. There is an informal but friendly feel from this family hotel. The food is exceptional and we have been returning for many years but food has got better than ever. We will continue to return.

We spent three nights at the Lyzzick Hall Hotel in early September while on a fell walking trip to the Lake District. The reservation process via e-mail and telephone went well. The staff was very helpful in assisting us to find the right room. Check in went very smoothly. We stayed in the Whinlatter room which is on the front...

Stayed a night here midweek for DB&B. Very lovely house with main sitting rooms original and excellent views towards Newlands. Good choice for evening meal although served a little slower than we might have wished. Sauna and pool fun. £280 for two which seems on high side in October but full so must be competitive. Would stay again.

We stayed at the Lyzzick Hall Hotel upon a recommendation from my Doctor's family in Lancaster. We were there four nights and wish we could go back! The first night we arrived exhausted from traveling. Ellen was fantastic. She treated us like it was her home and helped us get settled. We knew from the first evening that the food...

We stayed at Lyzzick Hall for two nights over half term which we had booked through booking.com. After a long walk in the hills we arrived at Lyzzick Hall with a very warm welcome. Check in was quick and easy and we were quite surprised when we were told our room had been upgraded as another guest had checked out...

Staff are so so good at looking after their customers and make it loo easy. The hotel has breathtaking views to the hills beyond, and plenty of places to sit and relax The main attraction is the quality of food, particularly the evening meal 3/4 course dinner. You have to remember to not eat during the day, and walk many...
