Stayed in the recently renovated Room 2 which was beautifully decorated, with excellent, brand-new en-suite facilities. The bed was comfortable and the room spotlessly clean. The breakfast was both bountiful, hot and delicious. In all, I could not have wished for better. Thank you, Paul. An excellent host.

We booked this because we made a last minute decision to show our Springer at the Patterdale Dog Day. This was the only place available to stay over so we didn't have to rush straight back home, that wasn't going to cost a stupidly large amount of money. We were extremely pleased by our choice. The room was very nicely decorated and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast the next morning couldn't be faulted, beautifully cooked and very tasty bacon and sausages. Our dog was made very welcome and after winning the gundog class at the show, the attention he got here and the lovely park just over the road just made his and our weekend!!

Lovely room, clean and dog friendly at no additional cost. Breakfast very tasty, friendly staff. Overall excellent value for money. Not far from some of the sights in the Lake District. There is also a few parking spaces outside the hotel (3) which we managed to get a space!

Friendly staff at this small family run hotel. We were on bikes and they brought them inside for security. Room was fine, very comfortable bed. They aren't serving food just now but recommended a local pub. A wee bar with Real ale at a reasonable price and friendly chat. Very nice breakfast. Recommended

This is a very good hotel, my room was very nice, a large room which had been refurbished and modernised to a very good standard. The full English breakfast was lovely and very filling. The lady making the breakfast ( Louise) was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location, it's a very short walk to the town's nightlife and shopping areas, yet also very handy for the main road leading to the beautiful Lake District.

Stayed her for a weekend with my partner and our two dogs. Immediately welcoming, vey friendly staff. The room we had was stunning, they have redecorated so the photos on here don’t do it justice. Highly recommend and we will be back here for sure.

This is a clean and friendly hotel, exceptional value for money. Has everything you need (iron, tea making facilities etc). It’s not fancy, but you’re not paying fancy money. The staff we met were absolutely delightful, super helpful and kind. I’d stay here again.
