Stayed in the triple bedroom for one night with friends while on a cycle tour around Cumbria. Lovely clean room with handy fridge. Owner was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was nice. Cycle storage is available at rear of premises. For the price I would happily recommend to other cyclists.

Only stayed two nights ..quite small but clean and friendly.. Breakfast was good , had better but it was hot and fresh .. Owners very friendly,bedroom clean . Wasn't too expensive either,close to shops, local bars and restaurants

We're proud to use a local butcher for our sausages, bacon and eggs as well as providing a large range of cereals, fruits and yoghurts etc for continental style breakfast. Just a beautiful wee place- love the bird theme & quirky design details. My single room on the top floor was bright and felt homely- thoughtful touches, including milk in a tiny fridge for tea & coffee (supplied in little containers, more sustainable than throw away packets - so great to think of environment as well). Breakfast delicious and lovely people as well! Made my work trip to Workington a pleasure. thanks x

Friendly, accommodating owners and a spotless, comfortable room with an en suite shower. Lovely breakfast, and situated just over the road from a shop. A fantastic choice for anyone visiting in Cumbria.

Stayed here overnight while working in the area. Originally booked at another hotel however due to a boiler issue we had to find alternative accommodation and I’m glad we did. This bed and breakfast is fantastic, the owners are extremely friendly and accommodating, the rooms are very clean and tidy and it has a real home from home feel to it. When working in the area again this will be my preferred accommodation

We stayed at Working House Bed & Breakfast in May, when we stopped en route to Scafell Pike. We had two rooms and both were well decorated, a good size, comfy bed, lovely en-suite and very quiet and peaceful, we got a great nights sleep! The owners were very helpful and friendly. Parking is available very close to the B&B, no problem. Breakfast was plentiful with a great range of options. It took less than 10 minutes to walk in to the town centre. Would highly recommend this B&B!

Stayed here for 2 nights and can highly recommend. Breakfast was very tasty and the couple who run this establishment are so friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again. Close to the town and a free car park just 2 minutes walk away.

What a great B&B. I can’t recommend this little gem enough. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, amazing breakfast and lovely owners. Walking distance to pub and town. Brilliant base to explore the lakes. Free parking a couple of minutes walk away. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

I stayed here 1 night. I was given a very warm welcome on arrival. When I explained I was leaving before breakfast at 7.30, the owners were more than happy to do food early however I was quite happy with a bit of fruit! The owners also happily helped me pre book a taxi for the early morning departure. My room was ideal. It was very quaint and colourful. The bathroom was small but for a solo traveller it was perfect and the shower was very powerful!! The B&B was just a 15 minute walk from the train station and a 5/10 minute walk from the Main Street, shops, restaurants etc. If here again on business, I will be staying again!

Good location for exploring the region. Naomi and Matt were such great hosts, warm and welcoming. The room was large and nicely furnished with thoughtful touches (fresh milk for brews!). Breakfast choices were varied and generous. On top of all this, excellent value. We will be back!
