Outstanding service makes all the difference. Stayed on business, using the hotel facilities for a 2-day event. Genuinely wasn't sure what to expect, but the staff at the Washington Central could not do enough for you. It is a great reminder that no matter where you go the service can make all the difference and the team are to be commended for fantastic customer service. The room that I stayed in was a bit tired but very clean and really comfortable; absolutely all you need. Good shower and very comfy bed! I would wholeheartedly recommend!

We were at our friend's wedding over bank Holiday weekend. Well organised. Excellent food, excellent staff, great room . Very handy for town centre shops and pubs and clubs. Would definitely recommend 👌 👍 🙂

Stayed there for the weekend as my friend was getting married there, what a good weekend, the hotel staff was amazing polite friendly, food was amazing as well would recommend this hotel to stay. Room was lovely

My daughter and I love eating in the Bistro bar for lunch. My daughter who is 8 LOVES the kids menu and Scampi and Chips (with red slaw) is her favourite. If we go shopping we love having a leisurely lunch on a Saturday afternoon at the Washington and have always had a very positive experience. All the staff are always so friendly and helpful and the food is always lovely. We also went for Afternoon Tea at Christmas and this was delicious too. I highly recommend as the best place for lunch in Workington.

This hotel i rate the best I've ever stayed at, they have all the little extras that make your stay special in your room, even the teaching of budda, the staff are excellent and friendly, the bar lounge is lovely relaxing and the food is fabulous

5* review for The Washington Central. What a fantastic experience we have had at The Washington last night (11th March). My 30th birthday party was held here and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. Adrian managed the event flawlessly. This man is genuinely amazing at his job. The room was beautiful and every detail was completely covered by Adrian and his team. The food was beautiful. We asked for an extra table through my function and this was dealt with so professionally and without hassle. We’ve had numerous functions here and by far, this has been the best experience we’ve had and that’s purely down to the manager, Adrian.

We have used The Washington Central Hotel numerus times for events with work. Adrian and the team are very professional and organised in their approach. They ensure everything and everyone is looked after. If you need something - just ask if they can make it work / fit into the day then they will. It is a pleasure to work with the hotel and we will continue to use for our events in Workington. Highly recommended.

A group of friends and I often have lunch here so I have decided it is about time I leave a review. It doesn't look much from the outside but inside is nicely laid out and decorated. Take the stairs or lift to the bistro on the first floor and be greeted by friendly and professional staff. Have a drink in the comfy lounge chairs whilst deciding what you want to order. The menu is varied and has dishes to suit all budgets. The food never disappoints, full of flavour, using fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. Highly recommend eating here.

HORRIBLE GYM Bad points first. Possibly the worst leisure club in a hotel I have been in. In the main gym some of the equipment was falling apart, the odour was terrible. The equipment was not fit for purpose and in my opinion a health hazard. Running machine did not work, bits missing from the cross trainer and just generally rusty and dirty. The sauna had holes in the wood and the jacuzzi was out of order. One of the local members said it had been like that for weeks. Elsewhere the staff were nice,, helpful and friendly. The room and the food were fine.
