They sent us an email asking when we would arrive. When I went to reply on my phone it asked for permission to interrogate my phone media. Was this email scam-ware? In the email of faux friendliness they forgot to mention that check-in time of 8pm is written in stone. If I arrive 10 minutes after, I wouldn't be admitted. This is what Di said. She also said it was a "BnB not a Hotel" When we phoned back Rob denied this. Rightfully ashamed of those remakes. When we said we were stuck in a Birmingham traffic jam he said "It wasn't his problem" CAVET EMPTOR

Very impressed with this beautiful B&B, more like Boutique Hotel. The host's Rob & Di are wonderful, I couldn't fault them at any point. It felt like a home from home. Honestly, I looked at the reviews and thought that it couldn't be that good - but it was and then some! The breakfast is wonderful - perfect eggs every time and make sure you try the bacon and scrambled egg. You can choose what you want each morning, with plenty of choice. There was fresh fruit, yogurts and orange juice immediately available, with either coffee or tea freshly brewed shortly after. The rooms, well they were beautifully decorated with very tasteful décor. I cannot fault a thing. Rob or Di, if you read this thank you so much for the warm welcome and amazing stay. Adam & Ashley. STAY HERE! Enough said.

My partner and I spent a few days in Workington, wanting to get a feel for the town with a view to moving there to live. Osborne House is an ideal base to explore from, being located right in the centre, but on a quiet road. The house is gorgeous and the owners very friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast freshly cooked and delicious. All the ingredients are locally sourced. There is parking opposite the B&B especially for guests, not a lot of it, but we always found a spot. Workington itself is well worth a visit as it’s convenient for the coast, Carlisle and the Lake District, as well as being a great town in its own right.

The perfect start to our journey, lovely owners who made us very welcome, calmly storing our 4 bikes in their beautifully decorated hall. Clean, well equipped and comfortable rooms, and a delicious breakfast.
