Just spent a family birthday weekend at the Waverley. Janet and her staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. So helpful and friendly it was like home from home. Reasonable room rates, clean and comfortable. Food was excellent in dining room and the buffet we had for the party was also excellent. Definitely worth another stay.

Honestly don’t know if it could get worse, everything was dirty, broken and outdated. Tried to stick it out because it was through work but checked out early as was so bad. Saturday clubbing underneath till early hours of the morning. So loud was vibrating the walls and couldn’t hear tv. Fighting outside. Ceiling sounded like the person upstairs was going to come through and could hear everything from vibrating alarm to the person peeing. I didn’t dare attempt to eat or drink here. Pictures to follow, couldn’t upload all I took.

Arrived for one night stay, drunk on floor outside main door, bar rough as heck, reception scruffy. Noone at reception. Arrived with empty pizza boxes and handbag over shoulder and very unprofessional. Stairs filthy. Got to room after climbing over pint glasses and more boxes, as entering room heard a couple doing imaginative squeaking if bed, this was onlyv8 pm.. left as quick as arrived didnt feel safe. Terrible place and I'm a cumbrian.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here last night 24th September 2021, was in the middle of no where, mould and holes on the walls, marks on the bedding, rust all over the bath, marks all over the ceiling off mould also. So out dated!! The room I chose on booking.com was nothing like the room we got nothing like the photos on here! Just not a clean room overall

What a lovely place to stay our rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and the food was delicious. Very close to the town centre. Every member of staff was helpful and happy to do anything to make our stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
