A last minute booking for our group of 16 but we were not disappointed. Janet and her team could not have done more for us. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is normally served from 7.30 but as we were had to leave much earlier they brought Staff in at 6.00 for us! Great Breakfast, lovely evening meals too. Would definitely return Thanks from all the rally team 👏
stayed one night due to attending Funeral. facilities excellent. staff very obliging very clean and comfortable breakfast excellent. Used the bar in the evening and priced good did not eat evening meal due to having to visit friends but from what we saw was good value for money
We stayed here 2 nights 7th 8th October to visit my son , the welcome was so nice , all the staff where great they made it special, the breakfast both mornings where excellent, my son came 1 evening for a meal and made to be welcome to , the rooms are a bit dated but we didn’t mind that at all as very clean , we will definitely recommend, thank you Waverley
Room was a little dated but they are in the process of updating the room was very large bed was large and like laying on cloud nine slept like a log every night breakfast was spot on all fresh and goof quality the bar restaurant had a good selection of drinks and the meals were large and good quality with a added bonus fairly good value staff were all helpful and friendly will be back
A mate and I stayed in The Waverley for one night and had contrasting experiences. My room was okay, it was clean, okay size and the bed was comfortable. My mates room however was not so great. Mould all over the wall and a filthy carpet and in his words 'the most uncomfortable bed ever'. The breakfast was very good but the whole place was in need of a facelift, new carpet, lick of paint etc. We tried to get an evening meal but nobody seemed interested in serving us so we ended up at McDonalds. Talking of which , there was an empty wrapper from McDonald's left on the window ledge on the stairs which just seemed to sum up the lack of care .. My shower room / toilet was okay , however when I was in the shower it suddenly went from a proper flow to a trickle - I can only assume someone in a room nearby was running water. My mates shower room was mouldy and stunk too and he was only given one towell...I had three however! Staff were friendly but overall not the best experience - that said not the worst either. Would I return ? Only if the travellodge in the town was full..…
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waverley Hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and certainly set us up for a days walking in the Lake District. We can certainly recommend the pies - we sampled these on more than one evening!
Made to feel so welcome as soon as I entered the hotel. Absolutely wonderful staff, always on hand and happy to help. My room was lovely and had everything I needed. A nice cosy bar is on site serving very nice food and competitively priced drinks. Breakfast was delicious too, good porton sizes. I really couldn't ask for more, will definitely be staying again.
What a lovely people nothing was to much trouble for them .the staff was absolutely brilliant ,you sore the manager from morning to night she would help the staff without being asked lovely lady. The lady that served the breakfast was so lovely ,we looked forward to breakfast just to talk to her .the bar staff was so lovely in the evening a all round lovely stay .
Just spent a family birthday weekend at the Waverley. Janet and her staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. So helpful and friendly it was like home from home. Reasonable room rates, clean and comfortable. Food was excellent in dining room and the buffet we had for the party was also excellent. Definitely worth another stay.
Honestly don’t know if it could get worse, everything was dirty, broken and outdated. Tried to stick it out because it was through work but checked out early as was so bad. Saturday clubbing underneath till early hours of the morning. So loud was vibrating the walls and couldn’t hear tv. Fighting outside. Ceiling sounded like the person upstairs was going to come through and could hear everything from vibrating alarm to the person peeing. I didn’t dare attempt to eat or drink here. Pictures to follow, couldn’t upload all I took.
