We've stayed at this site now 3 times and haven't got a negative comment to make. The pitches are a good size but at weekends and holidays the site gets very busy. Entry and exit is controlled by a manned security gate which provides reassurance. The ground on the hard standing is "hard" so have your hammer handy. There is...

This is by far the worse camping experience we have ever had. The entrance to the camp is lovely so we were really up beat travelling the long road up to the main camp. Then it all went south. To see people walking around a camp site in dressing gowns after 10am, drinking from Fosters from a can whilst screaming...

Hi Artwork-King J, thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay with us, we try our best to make sure that everyone on site has the most enjoyable possible stay. We do have rules on noise restriction, however occasionally there are families staying with us that unfortunately do not adhere to these rules. We...

Clean, well equipped campsite in the beautiful village of Ashbourne. We stayed for a long weekend in our motorhome with our daughter and 2 dogs. Washrooms clean and well equipped - remember your 20p for the showers. Fantastic countryside and direct access onto the Tissington Trail. About a 20 min walk to Ashbourne. The Bowling Green Inn, about a 15...

visited many times over the years - well organised, good facilities and a great pub and entertainment on site. Ideal if you have kids. Plenty to do on site and a superb location for walking from the site to local pubs or using as a base to explore the local peak district.

Nice place. As the title says i was a little reserved upon arival. Cosy pitches meant that its tough to drive reverse onto hitch. Both times i just dragged the caravan on/ off the tow bar. Had problems with kids taking chunks out of my kids. Firm words were had and i can only i was in right as no...

I realise that our visit was towards the end of their season but the camp looked very tired. The hardstanding pitches we felt should be tarmac as the base they use is easy trodden into the motorhome and is terrible when wet. Its quite a tight turn from the tarmac road onto your pitch and we could see no water...

At the last minute we decided to get away for a couple of nights. We found a half price deal online and this swayed us to ring the site. Most sites around Ashbourne/Uttoxeter etc are overpriced to accomodate Alton Towers visitors but at what worked out at £12.75 a night it was a bargain. The site was very well maintained...

My partner and I chose the camp site due to its close proximity to the Cycling Tissington Trail. The site is well managed with a shop, cafe and cozy pub. Certainly worth paying a visit if you're looking for a place to begin your hike or cycle.
