We had a two night break with our in laws and 10 month old. The hotel rooms together with the rest of the communal rooms in the main part of the hotel are ver tired indeed. Structurally the place is sound but worn carpets, chipped paint work and marked walls everywhere! Our room whilst genorousin size mirrored the previous comments,...

Stayed for 2 nights. This is a nice hotel based in a historic town. Our room was large and clean. My only criticism is that our mattress was far too soft. Does not help a bad back! The restaurant was busy so didn't get a chance to eat there. I would recommend this hotel.

This morning we had a small family gathering to celebrate my daughters 21st Birthday at Makeney hall hotel. To our pleasant surprise instead of it being in the main breakfast lounge they prepared a room just for us 9 private for ourselves at no extra charge. The staff were very polite, Steve our main waiter looked after us and everyone...

Stayed in a courtyard room for 3 nights. Nice big room, clean and modern. Water pressure was great shower was very refreshing. However the walls are paper thin, first morning I was woken by the lady next door clearing her throat. Second morning a wagon or delivery truck at stupid o clock woke me. Third night I couldn't get to...

Attended a valentines day meal here and was very impressed, although having been here to a wedding years ago I was interested to see if it was still as nice as it was then. It was, the meal itself was delicious, lots of flavours and extremely tasty. We were in a party of four (weird for valentines day i know)...

We booked a dinner, bed and breakfast at the hotel to break up a long south to north journey. On first impressions, we were slightly disappointed as the entrance to the hotel and reception area were definitely in need of make-over. However, the executive room we had booked was an improvement. It was spacious but still warm and comfortable. The...

I chose this hotel for the location, this hotel has the most lovely food I have tasted in a hotel restaurant for a long time and commend them, the staff are polite and friendly and those who I came across were locals. The room was lovely a superior on the side of the hotel, and was very clean all around....

Bought my sister an afternoon tea voucher for Christmas and booked to go February 8th. Got there and was told they had no idea about an afternoon tea, there was no room for us as there was a conference, they were too busy to deal with us, we could sit in a room with a business meeting but would have...

Returned end of January and thoroughly enjoyed the winter break. Hotel very warm considering it was freezing outside, room extra large and everything immaculate in it and even a bigger TV than when we were there in that same room last September. Super Kingsize bed and linen immaculate. So quiet. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Hotel in beautiful 6...
