Spent 2 nights at this great quite perfect located hotel on the banks of the river Trent. Our room was well decorated and clean. Only thing could improve on extra drawers for clothing and extra plug sockets. Dinner in resturant was 3 course for £39 each. The main meal was brilliant. Great size of steak With pepper sauce. Bar area...

Stayed in this hotel for one night as a birthday treat with my girlfriend. We stayed in the main house in one of the ground floor suites, very clean/ modern room, decent size TV and beautiful en-suite bathroom with a good quality shower. Very well located on the banks of the river Trent and very little interference by planes from...

The hotel is in an idylic location. The river, the rusting mill wheels, walks through the wood to the chain bridge). The wifi connection speed is excellent. The rooms well designed but showing signs of age (old computer connections no longer needed, now disconnected, but not yet removed). Holes filled on the bathroom door where hooks used to be. The...

Room was small but well decorated. Pub bar was excellent and the food and service was better than in the main restaurant. Breakfast was good. On a sunny day the position on the banks of the river Trent is wonderful.

This hotel is in a lovely peaceful location. A friendly welcome from the lady on reception was an excellent start. The room was lovely and bed linen ,towels and toiletries plus the refreshment tray were all first class. Parts of the hotel are tired but I am led to believe that on going improvements are being made. We ate in...

We are a group of three ladies who visited for lunch today. We arrived just before 12 and were directed to the restaurant. While we were acknowledged when we arrived, there was no greeting as such, no niceties. We sat down. At 12.20 I went and fetched us some menus. At 12.35 I went to the young man behind the...

For a birthday treat whilst a BTCC weekend at Donington racetrack it was decided to stay here. And what a great decision it was for me and friend were more than taken care of. In regards to staff it felt they were more than happy to take care of request or have just a chat. Here I must say that...

Only been for Sunday lunch. But oh what value for money!!!! Lovely menu. Nice bar. Attentive staff. Highly recommended. Lovely setting. Only criticism would be, we were once seated in a room off the main restaurant dining area. It lacked atmosphere and wasn't serviced as often as i would of liked.
