Great hotel and in a lovely setting next to the Trent river. The room was very clean and tidy and sufficiently large enough. Great shower but the basin and its taps, very modern but not easy to operate. The dinner was exceptionally good and the staff cheerful and attentive. Breakfast was fantastic and the English was made to order as...

Arrived around 7pm and found a warm and friendly greeting after a tough day. Room was clean and well designed and a bit different to normal hotel decor. Went for dinner in the bar area and was treated to good food backed by some of the best service I've had for years. Caring, knowledgeable and polite - just great. A...

My wife and I stayed overnight at The Priest House to celebrate an anniversary. We had booked a deluxe room in the main house. It was a good size with a comfortable bed. One small criticism was that the skirt around the bed needed to be replaced because it had been caught on one of the corners. Apart from that...

I booked this deal through Travelzoo for my husbands birthday, one night in an executive room, which was in the main part of the hotel. The hotel is in a lovely position, at the end of a road, overlooking the river. Our room was plentiful and spacious enough for our 1 night stay. All the facilities you'd expect in your...

We arrived only to find preparations for a wedding in progress. It appears that our room was with in the wing of the wedding party - a quiet night was not on the cards After some discussion with reception the kind lady moved us into a room at the other end of the hotel. This worked well for us. We...

Received a lovely welcome when checking in. Our room was ready even though we were early. Very quiet location just outside Castle Donnington. The road leads to the hotel and nowhere else. The hotel is in a lovely setting overlooking the river. The hotel has two restaurants - with one called the Millstream Bar & Terrace. Our booking included our...

Excellent greeting by very helpful reception staff who insisted that the order of the day was RELAX - a casual dress code to the restaurant clearly carried that theme. The restaurant service was steady and staff so helpful. Unfortunately our experience of the bar did not match as we were pretty much ignored while one staff member spoke to guests...

We stayed here on our way home from East Midlands airport, and what a find. Hitting it in the dark we couldn't appreciate the wonderful setting, but we more than made up for this the next morning. Even on a cloudy morning in October this is a great place. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble...
