Just returned from a weekend break at the nags head. Have stayed here before and myself and my husband couldn't say anything negative about both our visits.Nothing is too much trouble the owners and staff are great,as are the rooms. we have eaten here a number of times and never had a bad meal. would recommend the steak special.

Called at the Nags Head for lunch/tea. I had the meat and potato pie, chips, mushy peas and gravy, I have to say, it was the best, succulent steak, good short crust pastry etc. There was plenty of meat in this pie and I have to say....scrumptious ! Everything on the plate was to my liking, I don't often say...

Decent selection of ales and fab menu. Good mix of atmosphere with pub on one side and a cosy eating area on the other. We ordered the sausage and mash which was gorgeous- it was nice to be able to pick the sausage, the sauce and type of mash. For the price, a third sausage would have been nice, but...

We stayed here in July of 13. What a charming, atmospheric place! Loved everything about it. Parking in the village was a breeze. Check in was fast and friendly. Pub is full of character. Up the winding stairs to our two reserved rooms, both of which were quite unexpectedly well appointed, updated, and very nice. Bathrooms were superb. This was...

We have been to the Nags Head a few times to eat and it has definitely improved over the past couple of years. There is a good range of beers and the food is good quality pub-type and well presented. If possible, sit outside as you get great views across Derbyshire towards Mam Tor.

Booked this hotel the day before and was very happy. The hotel is cosy, clean and the staff very friendly. Breakfast choice was great, I don't particularly enjoy a full English so usually end up having the continental breakfast but here there were different hot choices and was very nice that we had an evening meal here to which was...

Had a very enjoyable evening in the Nags Head. There are a number of cosy areas which have open fires in some. The bar has a good selection of real ales and the menu offered a wide choice food and the salmon and burger we chose were delicious.

We booked a "three nights for two" deal staying from Tuesday to Friday in mid-November. We arrived a bit early but were immediately made to feel welcome and settled down to a drink beside the open fire while preparation of our room was completed. We were in the Derwent Room which was to the rear of the building on the...
