If you love the Peaks and want easy walking access to Mam Tor ridge, Losehill and Win Hill, as well as Castleton and Hope only a few minutes away on foot, this is the perfect location. Shippon Cottage was a charming, cosy cottage for our weekend break and Maeve a lovely host. Highly recommended.

My Partner and I have just spent 4 nights at the Harry Eyre Cottage (1 of 2 cottages at Spring Farm.) It is a very old, cosy cottage with a beautiful little private garden overlooking Mam Tor. Even in November we sat outside on one afternoon with the sun beating down on us! Inside are 2 full,of character bedrooms and...

We have been to the Shippon Cottage at Spring House Farm several times over the last few years. And simply needed the peace and tranquility after our wedding. It's amazing here, don't miss out. The whole place is simply adorable, from Maeve herself too little sizzle the dog. It's not super modern, it's upto date quaint, we don't mind roughing...

I have just got back from a fab long weekend with my partner and our dog! We had such an amazing time! The cottage is beautiful and equipped with everything you need, surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are plenty of good walks to chose from. It was perfect for us having our dog. Just got back from our third visit. Shippon cottage is perfect for us and two dogs. We've had to book cottages for 4 to get as much space when we've stayed in Castleton on previous trips. This place is an absolute gem and I always leave feeling I have recharged my batteries. The location is ideal, set back about a...

Just got back from our latest trip to Castleton, where we introduced our newest dog to the delights of Shippon Cottage. Weather wasn't great on first full day so walked the Hope Valley before eating with both dogs at the Castle Inn in Castleton, just a 10 minute stroll away. Today was a beautiful spring day, so following breakfast in...

This is the 5th time we have stayed in these cottages. Shipping Cottage is a real romantic, relaxing place to stay and certainly recharges your batteries. We just love it here and never want to leave. The owners of the cottage are very accommodating and huge dog lovers. We love the fact that you park your car on arrival and...

We stayed at Shippon Cottage for 2 nights recently. It is a lovely, rustic cottage which feels nice and remote, yet still within walking distance to Castleton and Hope. There are a number of great walks to do; a number of which come right past the cottage. The owners were very relaxed and friendly, and their two chocolate labs were...
