Booked on an offer so got a very good discount. Unusual in that reception was upstairs and very compact entrance. Room tidy, clean and cosy, over the river. Very warm though at night. Check re parking.

Travelodge maintains its quality, efficiency and value yet again. Glossop as a venue has a surprising amount to offer with the more than excellent Napoli Italian, the Friendship which lives up to its name, the welcoming Wheatsheaf in the charming Old Town and of course the Wetherspoons which yet again sets the standards for others to follow.

Typical Travelodge fare with simple and clean accommodation Towels are too thin but apart from that it provides good value basic accommodation Beware the parking rules - they could catch you out if you're not careful Rules gone mad without any regard to the customers and businesses nearby

Great location. Big comfy beds. Popular Wetherspoons below providing good food & drink. Have to move car from car park by 10am every day including Sunday which was inconvenient, especially in winter when the car is covered in ice. If you put the tag on the door handle to say 'do not disturb' (only until you were ready to leave)...

Very friendly staff, beautifully clean and spacious room - plenty big enough for our family of 4. Calm and peaceful atmosphere even on new years eve. All aspects of the room seemed new or very well maintained.

Had a short stay here in fairly cold November weather. Everything was perfect, friendly staff, nice large room, clean and warm, thirty free wi-fi minutes each day and close to all amenities. Walking distance from rail station and main bus stops very handy. Will definitely book with them again when I return to the area.

It was a bit of a ghost town in the hotel but it was a good Travelodge in a lovely location. My only complaints were with the toiletries, TV and the opened milk cartons in the room itself, but apart from that everything was ok. The room was one of the best I've been in.

We had a lovely time in this hotel apart from the receptionist on arrival (Karl) who gave us the creepiest of experiences. A £20 fee is charged if you bring a pet with you so bear it in mind. Parking by the hotel is only allowed for 2 hours so you can consider parking on a nearby side street on...

Glossop is a lovely little market town in the northern Peak District. It still has many traditional shops and the people are very friendly. Glossop is an ideal base for those wishing to explore Kinder, Bleaklow and Black Hill but there are also many shorter walks in the area which offer excellent views. There is a station about 500 m...

This hotel is conveniently located near a train station that will take you to Manchester or the peak district. The rooms aren't posh, but nicely furnished and spacious compared to what you will find at this price point. The bed is comfortable and the linens were clean. What more can you ask for? If you are driving, I understand day-time...
