I came here in August with my family, later joined by my boyfriend, for a week away in the peak district. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, great views, wifi, beautiful lounge and kitchen area and the beds were extremely comfortable! Only slight downside was the lack of hot water which made it very difficult to have a nice shower! It...

Hi Amy... thank you for your review... I'm so pleased you all had a good time at Blakelow... and Alton Towers of course - I'm sorry to read you had a problem with the hot water, I wish you'd have mentioned it during your stay as I'd have been happy to help - there is the boiler in the cottage...

Our second stay at Blakelow Farm (and will be returning next year); Christmas Cottage this year, Cranberry last year. Very comfortable cottage, perfect location, excellent Welcome Pack especially Blakelow Bear! It's really peaceful with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. For days spent indoors there's a really good choice of DVDs in the Utility Barn that Steve keeps updated with...

There is a magical aspect to the 'farm' which made our relaxing 'long weekend' all too short. We have only one (but big) regret...... we really should have discovered Blakelow Cottages a decade ago !!!! Our host, Steve, radiated genuine warmth; a rarity, which showed itself in every care and detail surrounding our stay...most of the welcome was unspoken, unfolding...

We stayed with friends for a week and loved this place. We stayed in Cranberry Cottage which was perfect for our needs - 2 couples staying and unusually 2 double beds not one double and a twin. Steve could not be more helpful with any requests and advice on places to visit and where to eat. The farm is beautiful,...

We stayed in Cranberry Cottage for a week in August and can honestly say that we have stayed in few better places, if any. The weather in Derbyshire that week was not at its best but it hardly seemed to matter. The cottage was so perfectly located and comfortable with just about every little detail carefully thought out. And the...

We have just returned from a fabulous week in Candle Cottage and it's simply the best holiday cottage we've ever visited in the UK. Steve is a great host and the pictures don't do the reality justice - it really is breath-taking, from scenery to dinner table! A very special place and I almost didn't want to review it for...

We stayed at Blakelow Cottages (Cranberry Cottage) for 6 days in mid May. The welcome we got from Steve on arrival was excellent, and the cottage was immaculate. It was well equipped, perfectly laid out, and very comfortable. The cottage is in a great location for visiting this bit of Derbyshire, with Chatsworth very nearby, and also close to Bakewell...

We stayed at Blakelow Farm Cottages 6 years ago and after a discussion one evening about the best holiday cottage we had ever stayed in we decided to book Blakelow Farm Cottages again....we have just returned and can honestly say after staying in many cottages over the last 6 years, Blakelow Farm is still by far the best! Stevens hospitality...

I was brought to Blakelow Cottages by my partner, Andy, as a belated birthday surprise weekend! And what a wonderful present! From the moment we pulled into the drive & Steve's genuine warm welcome, it was obvious this is indeed a very special place to stay! We were in Cranberry Cottage which sleeps 4. The layout is very well done...

We have just returned from our fourth holiday at Blakelow and it is still fantastic. Since our last visit we have actually stayed in two other cottages in the "Premier Cottages" brochure, however Blakelow spoils you so much that other cottages are simply in a lower league. What makes Blakelow different? The location is simply stunning, on a hill, way...
