We had an absolutely wonderful stay here at the end of October, staying in the Garden view room which was absolutely beautiful and very cozy. The b&b had a lovely little guest sitting room as well, with fresh milk to make tea and stacks of books/magazines and blankets to use whenever you wanted. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely... More

Our first stay with Steven and Julie and all the reports I read prior to our trip are 100% true. Beautiful location, fine house, superb hosts, great breakfasts. Warm and friendly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and bathrooms are superb - 5 star. We'll be back. Thank you Steven and Julie - have a lovely Christmas and... More

So many times you hear people say that they take the reviews on Tripadvisor with a pinch of salt. It's great to hear that they can generally be relied on - never doubted it! More

This was a full on fantastic experience from the moment we arrived and got the amazing lemon drizzle cake, to the phenomenal breakfasts fit for kings. Steven and Julie were excellent hosts and the rooms are cosy, clean and beautifully set out. It's a treat and great value... If you're thinking of splashing out just a little bit more for... More

Thank you Ben for your great review. You are quite right to say that we charge a little bit more than most other B&B's in the area. We deliberately don't want people to book based on low price so you won't find us on Bookingdotcom, Late Rooms, Trivago and all the other high commission online agencies. We want you to... More

It was lovely to see you both again for the third time. We are not so far away from your home, but that just means that you can get here quicker and do more on your last day in the Peak District. There's still plenty more to do and we look forward to hopefully seeing you again in 2015. More

Firstly a massive thanks to Julie and Steven for there hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble and they thought of everything. Even putting in a call to the local pub to reserve a table when we arrived late on the first night. They made us feel at home from the moment we stepped through the door. The building in itself... So glad to hear how you enjoyed your stay in Winster. The village is still very pretty in October, but you should try it in the summer with the Carnival, the bunting, Secret Gardens and all the other great things that take place. Even the Morris Dancing puts a smile on your face. More

Had a fabulous couple of nights at The Old Shoulder of Mutton. The rooms are super comfy and immaculately clean.
