We stayed at this B&B on a deal which was excellent value for money. We were in the Hayloft room which is one of two rooms in the coach house and was probably the smallest of the four rooms available which is to be expected when on a deal for one night. The room was very comfortable with all the...

Lovely little guest house in the busy town of Wirksworth in Derbyshire. Just a one night stay in this characteristic olde Police station, full of mystery and authenticity. We stopped in the solicitors room a well appointed room to the rear of the property nice bathroom and comfy bed in a quiet location, a few steps away from the town...

Overall a good experience. Stayed for two nights in this quaint converted police house. Comfortable and cosy room. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice of foods. A good base for exploring Derbyshire. Would recommend to friends and family.

We absolutely love this place. It is certainly somewhere we shall continue to return to for as long as we can. The owner, Tim, was as helpful and friendly as ever. It is a lovely hotel full of character. The rooms have always been clean and well presented. Our favourite is the solicitors room as it has a spacious bathroom...

We're just home after staying at The Old lockup for 2 nights. The solicitors room is really comfortable and the breakfasts were beautifully cooked and presented. Tim is a great host and we wish him every success in his very quirky and excellent b&b. We can thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Being a former police station this could only be an interesting individual hotel and that what it is. The old buildings have been well preserved and tastefully renovated. We had the Coachman's Room in the separate building and it was decorated in a way sympathetic with the building - exposed brick fireplace, iron bedstead (and a comfortable mattress) and some...

We booked a couple of nights at the Old Lockup in Wirksworth. Having looked at the home page, we thought it would be an interesting place to stay. We weren’t disappointed! This place is full of character and has many artefacts dating from/relating to its past history. It has always been a secure place to say, but in its modern...
