The hostel is great. We booked all 9 rooms, 25 of us in total for 3 nights, a mixture of kids and adults. Rooms are very clean, they'd just had a refurb and I couldn't find any fault. The hostel is the old co-op and it's reflected in naming the rooms. Huge lounge with a TV but we never switched...

Hostel, clean and warm. Good welcome from Warden, all equipment in good order. Expensive hire fee as we only needed hostel for one night. Self cook kitchen inadequate for group of 26 including young kids needed to eat out as hostel management were not to prepare to authorise staff to cook special Christmas dinner and hostel breakfast. This service had...

Booked a family room with our two young boys. Room was ready on our arrival and spotlessly clean. All the rooms have funny names based on the building's Co-Op department store history. We were on the second floor and had a great view of the 19th century village cistern. Self catering kitchen was clean and well stocked. We had a...

The hostel was clean, tidy and had plenty to offer from full breakfasts, evening meals and packed lunches to hot drinks, beers and soft drinks for all ages. The food choices also catered well for special dietary needs such as gluten free meals. All of this at a very reasonable price - great value for money! The member of the...

I stayed here with my daughter for one night. Our room was small, but big enough for the two of us in bunk beds. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the self catering kitchen was big enough for several families to use at once. I had stayed here once previously (about 30 years ago on a school trip), the...

More than happy to book a YHA as I'm not too fussy with what a room has to offer. We're always out enjoying the local landscape and just popping back to eat or sleep. The private room for 4 friends was pretty small but well priced and we booked breakfast too which was ok. I'd come to a YHA again...

This hostel is a lovely place, it was very clean and fresh looking, with nice bright good sized rooms. The facilities were very good, in fact the self catering kitchen is better than some of the largest YHA hostels I have been to. The breakfast was well stocked and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I think we'll be...

Recent visit to this youth hostel was my first and will not be my last. I arrived and found the room to be most pleasant and could fit myself and 5 other friends with ease. Kitchen and amenities were excellent and in a good condition. Very warm welcome from staff which continued throughout our 3 day stay. Good hygiene in...

Great little set up. Smack in the centre of this peaceful village. The entrance is a large n spacious lounge that catches the late sun. The dorm room was large, too. Overall cleanliness was very good. The ablutions all modern and in good order. Neat hostel. Luke and Amy were very helpful and accommodating 👍 Thanks for a lovely rest.
