I've certainly had better ready meals, compared to most of the pubs and restaurants in this area this is by far the worst. Our meal consisted of undercooked vegetables, my husband's fish was far from fresh with anaemic looking chips. The restaurant was cold and lacking in atmosphere. The prices are not cheap and we've been visiting north Norfolk for...

I wonder why you did not mention this at the time? To clarify though: Our fish is fresh, our prices competitive and our reviews online say more than enough about the quality of the food. In fact we believe we are probably producing good wholesome locally sourced food that is as good as any other top establishment along the coast...

If you are looking for a nice, clean, spacious room with all the mod cons required, I think the Nelson is a pretty good shout in this area. The nearby competitor is triple the price, and having stayed at both places, I'm not sure that's justified. Don't expect to be blown away with glitz and glamour, but if it's a...

Arrived to a freezing cold room! Heating clearly hadn't worked for ages, you could tell this by the dust in the non working radiator in our room. Instead there was a plug in radiator along with the ones all around the pub. Room was very dusty, played my husbands mild asthma up! I think £120 a night for a cramped,...

Stayed for 1 night on 18th Feb 2017,We had 2 rooms, heating not working in one, radiators were filthy- looked like someone had emptied a hoover into them!, plug in radiator only made it to 14 degrees, dust covered blinds, mug marks on cupboards, tiny bathroom with blackened tiles. 2nd room had heating but was grubby. Radiators were very rusty,...

Annex room in car park. Beautifully presented twin room. Spotless bathroom with complementarity toiletries. Kettle with everything you need for a hot drink. This really is a room to relax in and just a short stroll to the Pub itself for gorgeous food and helpful staff. Even evening meal was never rushed by staff, allowing us plenty of time to chat and...

Not what I expected from burnham considering how all other places are around. The pub did allow dogs and were great with them - food was plain pub food but recommend the nelson burger! Staff were really nice but the pub is too brightly lit so sort of lacks bit of atmosphere!

My husband and I were on holiday, and stopped at the Nelson for dinner. We are from the US. My husband really felt like a burger, so ordered "The American" burger. We told the waitress that we were American, so were excited to try the American Burger. She informed the Chef, and told us he was very nervous to serve...

We just had an excellent lunch at this pub. It is just a short walk (less than 5 minutes) from the main street in Burnham Market but well worth the visit. The meal and service was excellent. We choose from the OAP (or seniors) menu but had no complaints. It was well presented and very good value for the price.

Me and my partner stayed here as part of a minibreak. The room was big and modern and although not perfect (just under) it was exactly as we would have wanted. We ate in the pub and the food was fine, nice portions and a good selection. Breakfast was included and this was very good too with decent sausage and...
