A return visit to this lovely Inn with friends, and we were not disappointed. The food was fabulous and the conservatory was just the right place to sit on a beautiful spring day. The staff were very knowledgeable and efficient without making you feel as if you had to rush, or hanging over you as you ate. A family and...

Thank you for your review and furthermore for returning to us in good faith. The conservatory is such a lovely place to dine and enjoy the sunshine and the terrace will be blooming again soon. We welcome dogs and the walks are great for humans and our canine friends alike. I hope we can all welcome you back soon Kind...

Returning to The Lifeboat after a quarter of a century, it was better than we remembered: quality refurbished bedrooms with excellent bathroom (huge roll-top bath) and nice touches: digital radio, homemade biscuits, cafetière. Food excellent, in particular can recommend the mussels, calamari, terrine and fab fish and 🍟. Preferred eating in the bar to the restaurant - thought the restaurant...

Thank you for leaving such a comprehensive review. I'm so pleased you were able to return to us after a long break. The new menu is receiving good comments from our residential guests and your recommendations are appreciated. We serve the same offering throughout the establishment so some guests do prefer to eat in the bar area. We had a...

Stayed two nights at end of February. Good position off the main road with half-mile walk to the sea, overlooking salt marshes. Room was comfortable with good sized bath and tea making facilities. Food was (I suspect) aimed higher and the website hints at more but overall it was just good pub food. It was certainly priced higher, as was...

Thank you for your review. I'm pleased you enjoyed the idyllic positioning of The Lifeboat and the nearby coastal walks. The room facilities receive good feedback and we shall continually monitor this to ensure we are matching expectations. I'm sorry you felt the food was overpriced. We feel we offer reasonably priced dishes in comparison to the local area and...

We are locals and we go to the lifeboat a lot to drink and eat. We love to chat to the other locals, and also Jimbo who works behind the bar. He is the life and soul of the pub. When Jimbo is not working nobody seems to be running the bar. 5 stars when Jimbo is working. However, why...

Thank you for your review. I am pleased you like Jimbo. He has been at The Lifeboat many years and is just one of the team that works behind the bar. They perform a range of duties and are also involved in taking out food to our guests. The bar is run by our Food and Beverage Manager and we...

We've stayed here many times and in its various guises. Our two nights recently confirmed that the new owners have restored it sympathetically and improved service on every level. All staff were friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make the place dog friendly, with even dog blanket, bowl and dog treats in the room. Breakfast was...

Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you continue to visit The Lifeboat and, furthermore, that you enjoyed your recent visit. The refurbishment has retained original features but elevated the standard of the bedrooms and public areas. We will continue to work hard to develop The Lifeboat. Our January and February offer was so popular and we already...

Great long coastal walks, local seafood and fine ales. Even the dog was catered and pampered and just can't wait to go back. The only trouble is it's not a very well kept secret so book early to avoid disappointment!!

We arrived to a warm welcome from Oli at the Lifeboat Inn who helped us discover the wonderful local walks along the beach with our dogs. Our room was comfortable and cosy, with a sea view. All the staff we met and who looked after us during our stay were freidnly and obliging. We enjoyed a special Valentine's Day dinner...

I booked a one night stay and dinner for my parents as a Christmas present. This was suppose to be for the beginning of February but unfortunately after my mother fell over on Christmas Eve (and ended up having a complete shoulder joint replacement) this was moved to March. The staff kindly re-booked and they had a great night away....

Have not stayed in this part of Norfolk before but it was a delightful, restful place to come to. We enjoyed a distant sea view with much closer views of a Barn Owl. This was a great experience in every way. Nice greeting , sat by the log fire with drink before we checked in.very nice room looking out to sea. Nice evening meal but they ran out of mussels, we wish we had ordered them earlier. Staff very nice at breakfast in the conservatory. Would certainly visit this place again .

Thank you for leaving a positive review. I am pleased you enjoyed your recent stay at The Lifeboat. The fires are enjoyed by our guests and we are fortunate to have three in the building.
