We have eaten at the Carpenters many times and have always found the food to be excellent. This time was no exception to the rule, our party of 6 really enjoyed the meal. As always the food was excellent and complemented by excellent service. Well done to all the management and staff.

Great food. My daughter is normally very fussy but ate everything in front of her. Price was reasonable. Considerate of children - they kept the other diners entertained. Not quite five stars due to having to wait a while to be reapproached for the bill. Thanks :)

We ate lunch here en-route to the coast for a short break. It had been recommended by a local hotelier. We had a selection of the lunch menu and all were delighted with our choices. The food was consistent with all of us enjoying our choices. I had the fish finget "buttie" with a small cup of soup, it was... More

We found this place by chance and were wowed by its wonderful country charm decor. We were expecting a great lunch experience. Sadly the wow stopped there. The barman hardly acknowledged us as we walked in and I had to ask for menus. We ordered the French Onion Soup and a ham sandwich. The soup arrived but not the sandwich.... More

A beautiful BnB in beautiful surroundings with beautiful views and some great staff. The rooms are stunning with fantastic bathrooms some even have an open fireplace. The food was amazing. The menu was great so much choice from traditional to fancy. Most of the staff are a delight, especially the waitress (I wish I knew her name) who nothing was... More

Visited several times. A bit expensive but usually well presented with good flavours. Visited Friday and Sunday and disappointed to be given what were definitely bought bread rolls that had been possibly frozen. Strangely today we were brought home made rolls at the start of the meal only then to be given a supermarket roll with the mussels. I think... More

Party of eight visited for lunch, restaurant was not busy .We have eaten there lots of times and had excellent meals but this time things were just not quite as good as usual. Two of us had prawn cocktail, very over priced for what we got, small portion and most of it was lettuce. Two shared the fish platter which was... More

We visited The Carpenters Arms for dinner, location is lovely and pub restaurant was very nice inside! The food was delicious and good veggie choices, it was just a shame about the service! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like an inconvenience even though the restaurant was empty and it was early on a tuesday evening!... More

I came here for dinner with friends. We were last here about a year ago and the meal was good but this time it was very disappointing and poor value. I chose the queen scallops as a main course and there were so small I struggled to find them in the rock hard cheese that sat below a pool of... More

We had a meal early last Sunday evening. We expected it to be quiet but it was quite busy and there was a fantastic live musician singing and playing guitar. He sang all my favourites from Ronan Keating to George Ezra. This was a great accompaniment to a lovely meal, prawn cocktail followed by ribs for me and steak for... More
