We stayed on a Saturday night. Made welcome on arrival and shown to a very comfortable room at the front of the building. A regular guest recommended the Garden rooms if you are thinking of visiting. Evening meal was enjoyable, well cooked and presented but nothing special. The sharing platter for starter was poor value for money. Bed was very...

My wife and I had a superb stay at this particularly quaint Hotel and Restaurant. The room at the back was very well appointed and we enjoyed a lovely meal with a complimentary glass of champagne . Great breakfast the next morning too! Highly recommended.

A large group of us were staying in a house just over the road and booked in here on the Saturday night. The food was lovely and the wine we were recommended was excellent. Top end prices for a pub but worth it. Highly recommended!!!

We stayed one night and had a meal, the food and service were first class. The garden rooms are a good size with excellent facilities and great views over the Vale of York. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Called in here on recommendation of a friend who has family in Felixkirk. We only wanted a quick snack lunch which we had in their spacious dining room. Service was good and professional food was excellent.Must visit again.

We were off the beaten track on a car tour and thinking, "We'll not be finding anywhere round here for lunch!". Then there it was! And what a find! Car park full, always a good sign. Food was excellent, in excellent surroundings, with lovely staff. Had a nose round afterwards and the accommodation is also fantastic so it's on our...

We had been told that this place served great food and we finally managed a visit on a rare child free night! Unfortunately we were really disappointed with our food, my husbands steak was over cooked and tasteless and my steak and ale pie just wasn't great, fatty meat and bland. I thought maybe we must have caught them on...

The food is always good here however the service is not of the same standard. Friendly enough but just not attentive. Ordered 2 fillet steaks at £28 each which arrived with a sauce. We were offered a sauce - I chose diane, my partner chose plain. The steaks both arrived covered in sauce. When I asked the waitress what the...

Went for Thirsk races and managed to get a room here, as none anywhere else. Was a brilliant little find, room lovely. Had early bird meal in the evening, couldn't fault it. Breakfast the next morning was fab. Staff lovely and would highly recommend.
