Stayed here when visiting family. Paid under £30 for a family room. Had everything we needed and cooked breakfast in the pub next door was good too. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating- thank you.

£35 for a double room so everything needs to be seen in perspective. Comfortable bed, good shower,tv with all the terrestrial channels, very friendly reception. Clean and COVID protections on point. Undoubtedly could do with a mini refurb but at this price there can’t be too much in the pot. Would certainly stay here again

I am sorry to say that this hotel fell well below the usual Premier Inn standard. Our room showed signs of wear and although we were assured of a new stricter cleaning regime there were cobwebs around the light fitting and down the side of the headboard. The room was very hot and although a fan was provided we were unable to get the temp below 22 degrees. Overall a very disappointing stay.

Stayed overnight for a trip on the Bluebell train for afternoon tea the next day.Early birthday present for my 70th birthday. David on reception at the Premier inn was very helpful. He was friendly but professional. We had asked for a room on the ground floor as my wife has trouble walking and we managed to get her wheelchair into the room. All thanks to David. Had evening dinner in the Star pub next door and breakfast the following morning.Other staff in the Premier inn were also very helpful. One point is that other guests should be aware that if they are are on the first floor they need to try and walk about without thumping about. Please show some respect on the floor below.

Room and amenities very good. Liked the idea of nobody entering your room during our stay due to covid, which would like to have permanently even after this is over. Because of this nothing was too much trouble for the desk staff in providing additional items (eg tea, milk etc) when requested. Breakfast is available at the pub next door.
