While not easy to get to, the view from eveyone's oceanfront room makes it well worth it. Shelter Cove is quiet, very quiet. It makes it really easy to just hang out on the lanai or to stroll along the beach adjoining the inn. The room was immaculate and they are very dog friendly. Enjoy!

The property was shabby and disappointing. We stayed in Apartment #1, it is the south end unit, and I believe it is the best location in all of Shelter Cove. The cheap vinyl tile floor was dirty and buckled. The sofa and chair were very uncomfortable, and so old it was disintegrating. It was literally flaking away all over everything....

We stays in a 3 floor corner room with a fantastic view right over the ocean. We slept great with the window open listening to the waves crashing into the cliffs below. The hotel was super friendly and accommodating. Only negative is that is that everything closes early and the hotel restaurant was closed for the season. So eat before...

As cool as this place is, I don't know that it's worth the trouble getting here. Don't get me wrong, I love driving crazy roads, but the road in here got old fast. There is nothing here other than the ocean. The rooms are nice, no air conditioning. It's right on the water. Stop in the Redway and get groceries...

We loved our stay at the Oceanfront Inn. Kirsten was very welcoming and accommodating. She helped us out in any way she could. The balcony was especially nice. The views of the ocean were spectacular. The crashing of the waves, the fresh ocean air, and the wildlife (seals, birds, etc) were such a treat! This quiet beach town was perfect...

This place was fantastic. Unfortunately, the town is dying, or maybe (hopefully) will rise again, but there are NO restaurants. The closest store is 5-7 miles up the mountain, and is a glorified (definitely glorious as far as minimarts go!) minimart. We were the only people in the hotel for the first night, and was our room ever spectacular! Great...

The rooms are clean and spacious with a little basket of goodies on the house in case ur starved. There are limited...

Where do I start! Holy cow! Getting here is hard on your vehicle, long curvy road very steep and you are riding your brakes the whole time, got here at 5:30pm office closed, went around the corner to ring the doorbell, lady with baby answered and said to meet her back in office, cat feces in front of office, random...

The rooms are gorgeous, large, airy, and every room has a screen door opening onto a private balcony. Our son chose to pull his sleeping bag out there to spend the night under the stars, even closer to the sea. I believe the owner was away while we were there, so we could not speak to the great staff experience...

We arrived late on a Thursday after hiking the Lost Coast Trail. Pam was super accommodating. Our room was fantastic. Imagine hiking the beach for 4 days then spending the final night watching the sunset, listening to waves, while sitting in a Jacuzzi in your own room. The next morning we walked 30 feet out the door to explore the...
