Great spot to stay here in Shelter Cove! Very affordable, and worth more than they're charging. No reason to stay anywhere else in town, unless you're needed more than one spacious room with a fantastic view. Restaurant is on the premises. Highly recommend visiting the Black Sands Beach while you're here. Enjoy...

Thank you for taking your time to write a review for us. You were very lucky to stay here during our "Winter Special" which is from November 1st until April 30th every year. Keep that in mind for next year. You are right, Black Sands Beach is amazing. Hope you can come back next year when you're on the road...

If you are planning to stay several nights and more in Shelter Cove, then shop in Redway not Garberville (Rays Food Place is way too expensive). The drive to Shelter Cove is such s treat for your senses. Do stop at Blacks Beach and stay awhile. The stairs down will gladly bring you back up, plus their are alien giant...

Thank you so much for taking your time to write such an awe-inspiring review. We (as in Shelter Cove) pride ourselves on the beauty, peace, photo ops, etc. that surround us daily in this heaven-on-earth. The Oceanfront Inn prides itself on cleanliness, friendliness, awareness, and a good sense of what you might like to see/do while you travel. I agree...

My partner took me here for Valentine's weekend. The room has a balcony and glass doors overlooking the shore below you, the surf and ocean. There is no noise other than the ocean surf. We kept the door open while sleeping. We also had a very good dinner at their restaurant. What a wonderful place.

Excellent location over the water. Balcony has view to ocean and a bit of the mountains. Not all balconies see the mountains. But they can be seen out the front door. Spacious room with King bed--No. 33. This is well off the beaten path. Don't expect high speed internet. Go here to get away from it all. Microwave and fridge,...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Reviews are important to us and we try to address any problems that you mention. The much needed rain in California is coming down in sheets here - today we have a little relief. I am sorry that it rained the entire time you were here. Our room rates during...

Our stay was cut short by a family emergency, so not able to sample the well-rated restaurant that is only open Th, F, Sat, Sun. The only place for dinner is a carry-out pizza place with no place to sit. There are no places for breakfast and lunch so you need to bring food or stop at The general store....

Thank you for taking your time to write a review of our hotel. I am sorry that a family emergency took you away early. Was I aware of this? I hope all is well now. My family needed a room late at night as we expected a tree to fall near our house during a big storm. Julie was so kind and helpful. We got into our room right away. The views of the waves are gorgeous! It sits right above a private beach full of tidepools. We live in the Cove, but it was...

Thank you, Jennie, for taking the time to review our hotel. What better excuse than a tree falling to enjoy a little get away. I hope you can come back when the stress is a little lower - all trees in place - and enjoy some peace - watching the breathtaking view in front of you from your balcony. I...

Came wanting a new place to get away to and explore without millions of people everywhere. Shelter Cove did not disappoint! The Oceanfront Inn was great as well. Modern, clean, and you cannot get any closer to a true "ocean view". The private balcony was a great way to end and start the days. Julie and Darby were very friendly...

Thank you for taking your time to review our hotel. What nice things you have to say. We certainly are "away from it all!" Even when all the hotels are full, the beaches are still almost private. Starting and ending my day watching the waves, an occasional whale, many seals, the birds (oh, the birds - so many varieties!), has...

We reserved only a few days in advance and had an easy transaction nonetheless. The Inn is a beautiful facility, neatly kept, with friendly staff. The view from our balcony was nothing short of amazing... a sunset we will remember forever and waves coming in throughout the night, beautiful music to sleep to... we will return again and again... Thank you for taking your time to review our Inn. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The location is gorgeous and right on the water. Whales were constantly in view just off the coast. The room was modern and spacious for 3 people, even though we had brought a lot of stuff. Thank you for taking your time to write this review. I'm so glad you were able to see our visiting whales. They are quite a site, aren't they? I am sorry about the WiFi and will look into it.
