We booked this park as it was not as expensive as others in town and also looked to be in a quiet area. Just perfect! John allocated us a great spot, easy to back into with his good directions, and nothing was too much trouble. I don't know what the people were complaining about in relation to "overgrown" and "weeds"....

John and Mary the owners were very friendly and helpful giving us lots of information on Cooktown . The gardens are lush tropical surrounding the sites and throughout the Park. Clean amenities, great bird life. Very peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

A bush park with very basic facilities, paying $37 a night for no pool, one washing machine, limited amenities for a full park. Although fairly quite. sites were rough and park fairly overgrown. Would not recommend unless you were stuck look elsewhere in Cooktown.

Stayed in this park for six nights in a very generous sized site, one of the largest we have ever stayed in. The owner though, was very particular in where he wanted us to park the van and car so we were very close to a tree and even though there was plenty of room next to the van for...

This caravan park was set up 16 years ago when vans were much smaller than today, so the sites can feel rather cramped. Nevertheless, John and Mary make you feel at home and John is a champ in helping guide folks into their sites. Amenities are old but clean and spacious. Lots of trees and shade which is nice. We...

We stayed at this park for 3 nights on our trip up to Cooktown. The park is small and compact. Amenities are basic but very clean. You would need to be self sufficient as there is no camp kitchen, just a jug, microwave and toaster. John and Mary are very friendly and do their best to make every one feel...

Not too sure about the reviews I read prior to arrival at this park but they are way off the mark. We spent some time on the phone sorting two sites, what a waste of time that was!! We have two rather large vans and were squashed onto sites big enough for a "Wendy house" the front of one caravan...

We stayed in this caravan park for three weeks as it is the only park that is sandfly free. This means you can sit outside your van and not be tormented. On top of this, John and Mary are friendly and helpful owners who really care about their patrons. John even came out at 9pm in the middle of a...

So good we stayed another night. Mary was an absolute delight, she went above and beyond to ensure we were comfy and had all the information we needed!! Quiet park with a great set out. A short way from town and no biting bugs!! Which is rare, if you are as delicious as I am to insects this is your...

We spent the night here a couple of days ago. It is a beautiful, the owners put a lot of effort into keeping the gardens. We practically had the place to ourselves. The toilets/showers were very clean. When we turned up the owner introduced herself by name a suggested places to visit, she sent us to a lookout at the...
