This is the best place to stay. The owners are amazing and have suck in depth knowledge about the wildlife and plant life in the area. Breakfasts were fantastic with homemade yogurt and bread. I love how it is surrounded by trees and there is a resident bandicoot, lots of birds and the tree frogs which like to hang out...

Thanks so much Tess! We also love that we can have the convenience of being 'in town' but are so surrounded by trees that you feel you are world away. Glad you enjoyed it too! Our best Trish and Andrew

My husband and I are seasoned travelers and avid birders- we found kindred spirits in Trish and Andrew, the owners of Red Mill House. I am a celiac and thus must be very strictly gluten free- Trish did a wonderful job taking care of my food needs at the breakfast, which was delicious. The birding just even on their property...

The red mill house was every thing we expected plus a bunch more. The rooms where very nice, the food was over the tops, and the birding was the best... And what a great little town Daintree is. The food at the pub was so good we went three time.

How nice - thanks! It is always great when people enjoy our little town. We are lucky enough to have several good choices for meals and the locals like to engage with the visitors, which is great. Our best Trish and Andrew

My wife and I have stayed at B&B style accommodation throughout Australia, Sicily, Tuscany and California over many years. Trish and Andrew are way up there with the best hosts whose hospitality we’ve enjoyed absolutely anywhere. Daintree as a destination may not be for everyone – but it is simply marvellous for anyone interested in birdwatching. We did a Daintree...

Thanks so much John. You two were so easy to look after we almost felt we weren't doing enough! It was great having you here and we are so pleased that life at Red Mill suited you so well. You are right, Daintree doesn't suit everyone, but it attracts some of the nicest. Our best Trish and Andrew

First of all, Andrew and Trish are the key to my 5 star review. We travelled to the Red Mill House recently with our two kids and my mother and father. My dad does not get around easily, and my mother (a native Australian) had always wanted to visit the Daintree. We booked two night on very high recommendations from...

Thanks so much Michaela. It's not easy travelling in a group to small places, so I'm really pleased it worked out well for you here at Red Mill House. We wouldn't normally have given your parents the room with the double bed, but with his mobility issues it seemed the best choice. Our best Trish and Andrew

Andrew and Trish are wonderful hosts and looked after us all so well. Travelled as a couple with a teenage son, something for everyone in this fascinating area, and accomadation perfect for our needs. I especially did SO enjoy my...

Thanks so much Jenny - a real pleasure having you all here. Your review sits on the wall at our yoga studio - if ever we feel it is not quite comfortable we think of you and the 'draughty Scottish hall'. It is easy to forget, sometimes, just what a beautiful part of the world we live in. Our best...

Red Mill House sits right in the forest at pretty Daintree village and I can't imagine a better place to stay if you are visiting the region. Trish and Andrew run their guest house with warmth, enthusiasm, attention to detail and have vast expertise to offer on the local flora and fauna. In their beautifully restored cedar house you can...
