I stayed at the hostel for 3 days. The reception gave me lots of advice as to what I could do whilst on the island. The koala village tour was great fun- best tour so far. I've recommended this hostel to so many other backpackers definitely do three nights as a package so you can get the koala village 'free'.

As animal lover I was really looking forward to this tour. We had a package that gave us a tour, two night stay and free koala picture. The day did not disappoint and was really good, the tour guide was very informative. As for the stay, it is very far out and means you have to get the bus or...

The bungalows are in a beautiful setting. Kitchen clean and well equipped. If you have Vodafone, there's no reception and the wifi is expensive. Apart from that, nothing to complain about. The forts walk (you'll see koalas in the trees) is not too far away and there's a small convenience store and bottle shop in horseshoe bay along with nice...

One of the best hostels on the eastcoast so far. Bus from the ferry is 2,80 $ pp. Stuff was confused most of the time but mostly friendly. A problem is the reception which closes at 6 pm. So after that you have to go to the bar where most of the time only one person is working: Drinks, food...

Its rare I complain about staff because I know how hard their job is. From reading the reviews I couldn't wait to stay in Bungalow Bay but unfortunately when I arrived the staff were very uninterested in answering my questions about what there Is to do in the area. I wasn't told where ant of the facilities were until I...

My husband and I stayed in the double ensuite bungalow, which was very comfortable and very private, but this place has a camp site and dorms as well so there are lots of accommodation choices. You can also self cater in the kitchen or enjoy the tasty pizzas and other meals on the menu down at the bar. There are...

I stayed in a eight female dorm with ensuite. The room was large and the shower ok. The kitchen got a bit cramped at busy periods. It is located a five minute walk to horseshoe bay. The communal areas were really cool. They only had one washer working, which was not good! A possum joined us for dinner every night...

What an amazing weekend we had at Bungalow Bay. The place is set out with Australian Wildlife everywhere!! Sitting outside out bungalow a kangaroo came right up close, the wildlife tour was brilliant, we got to hold Koalas, snakes, birds, crocs and turtles! And a must do is the breakfast with koalas, we had a glass of guava champagne and...

My stay at Bungalow Bay was fantastic! Rustic little cabins with wildlife everywhere, had my first encounters with Australia's native wildlife and the breakfast with koalas is amazing. Large clean bathrooms and laundry facilities and a qaint little bar with great food. Would definitely stay here again.

This is the only place on Magnetic Island that you can stay with a campervan so you kinda have no choice but to stay here so good job it's good! The amenities are clean and tidy and the camp kitchen is vast and has everything you need. The chill out area in the front has huge beanbags for lounging round...
