The perfect break away with friends and family. The days are still warm enough to ski and nights cool enough for a cozy fire. Amenities and grounds are kept clean and tidy - even over such a busy weekend. Staff are wonderful and friendly. Our kids loved groundsman Greg. Thanks for making our short break extra special.

We booked a powered site for caravans. A very reasonable rate, very clean amenities, wonderful views, kangaroos and bird life, fishing, boating. Quiet during the off season. A great place to unwind. On site cabins and safari cabins as well. Check it out. What a find. We will be back.

We camped with a group. Despite being quoted a set rate we all ended up paying different amounts. Apparently things go up on the day. I guess that's one way to keep the bogans on water at bay. The surrounds are nice but there was a bit of litter lying around presumably due to the lack of bins in bathrooms,...

Thank you for your time to share your review JDestiny although we are a little disappointed to see your experience did not meet expectations. As is norm in the industry, our park rates are set on dynamic pricing which varies depending on demand. Your group was offered a 10% discount and as the group parties booked and paid separately, the...

My partner and I stayed in a safari tent (glamping) over the Australia Day weekend - this was pretty disappointing - firstly it was approx 100 metres to lug all our gear to the tent as vehicles cannot be brought any closer, and there are no trollies or alternative way to carry everything. Amenities overall were inadequate for the number...

Thank you Rowena for taking the time to review your stay although it is disheartening to see you did not enjoy your time at Lake Somerset. Hopefully I can shed some light on some of your problems faced. Carparking for the Safari Tents is allocated at the top of the Safari Tents on the road about 50m from your accommodation...

Stayed in the "Safari Tents" which are located beside the lake. Somerset Holiday Park has varied options with camping for both powered and unpowered tents/caravan sites. The Safari tents option which is an elevated tent with a double bed and bunks, table, and a bar fridge however the vehicle parking from the safari tents is a short walk and some...

This was my second stay here. The first was 3 years ago up the office end of the park, and without drought, and it was great despite it being packed over Easter. This stay was an average November weekend so plenty of people around without being over crowded but I was shocked at the neglected world at the far end...

Dear explorer994, Thank you for taking the time to review Lake Somerset Holiday Park, I am disappointed to read that your experience did not meet your expectations on this occasion. In regards to your comments about amenities, taps and camp kitchen, our unpowered sites towards the back of the park are unallocated which enables guests to choose their own site....

We came here the first time around three years ago and have been back many times. We will be back this December for our first Somerset Christmas. This is a great park but you do need something to keep the older kids entertained, either a boat or kayak or something. There's a park for the younger ones. The reception has...

We booked our site many months ago and we were not let down. Heaps of room, wildlife, awesome views, amenities good (weekend campers at times made it hard for the cleaners and we do wish the young cleaner would clean 2 handed and not talking on her mobile and cleaning one handed), friendly staff - thanks. There was a group...
