We really enjoyed our stay here. very comfortable accommodation on a property with beautiful surrounds. Peaceful and the onsite owners were really lovely and welcoming. A happy departure from the drab motels and caravan parks. Saw some fish and platypus in the river. Books, games and DVD's in the apartment, thoroughly relaxing. Will stay again!

A spectacular spot for some R & R on our road trip. Set in the rainforest next to the river, surrounded by so much wildlife. We saw so many different birds, a possum or two and heaps of wallabies that we got to feed. The bathroom was amazing!! Sitting in the spa with the rainforest all around was just bliss!... More

However, we were disappointed that the house is in something like a wooded suburban area--it's not really in the country. You pass one driveway after another as you approach the house. We could hear cars and trucks from... More

We have just returned from the Tablelands and had the pleasure of staying at "Cooinda". What a beautiful place. We were very comfortable and just loved the surroundings and atmosphere. The pademelons and bush turkeys were so cute and fun to have around. Some more kindling for the fire would be helpful, it just made it a little difficult to... More

There are two different chalets available at Rivers Edge Rainforest Retreat - Coolara and Cooinda. We stayed in the Coolara chalet for three nights at the beginning of September 2009 and were extremely happy and comfortable there. The Facts: Coolara is a secluded two storey wooden chalet surrounded by rainforest and wildlife. Upstairs contains a master bedroom with a huge... More
