The whole time here reminded us of our Tanzanian safari. The accommodation was a safari wall tent, but permanent with water and power. A continental breakfast was provided the evening prior so one could greet the day on the deck. Other meals, which were very good, were in the main lodge which was open air with a great view of...

Wow what a magical place. Right from the fabulous greeting by Samantha, Greg & Margaret's wonderful hospitality and Ewan's passion for birds, how could we fault Jabiru. If you can stay the night, try the Safari tents, well worth it. Would highly recommend this gem of a place to anyone travelling along the Tablelands.

The lake views from the visitor centre are stunning, especially the sunset. The couple who run this lodge were friendly and well organised. The man takes the tours of the Savannah/wetland area which were informative and the lady mans reception and catering. The food she cooked was excellent. Our tent had a fridge, kettle and toaster. You request your breakfast...

We spent a week at Jabiru Safari Lodge, partly to see relatives nearby and partly to explore and see the wildlife. We had a lovely week and would recommend staying at least a few days as there is lots of space to explore, and its a great place to chill. Staying means you can get the walks in in the...

This was the start to our trip up north. The staff were great and helpful without being over bearing. The park is in good condition and is going well under its mixed use management. The facilities were top notch and clean. We will be back for longer next time.

Looking forward to returning again soon. The ultimate in relaxation - peace, quiet, comfortable and caring. A very unique experience. Highly recommend!! Take time to unwind and get to know a few feathered friends on the beautiful Atherton Tableland, an easy drive from Cairns.

Lodge operators Greg and Margaret were exceptional. Greg is very knowledgeable about the place and offers a safari tour which includes a boat ride around the lagoon and 4wd trek around the property. We saw 2 jabirus on the tour and various other wildlife including agile wallabies, emus and many birds. The food was in one word, exceptional!!! Margaret went...

We stayed for 2 nights in one of the DeLuxe Tent cabins; very charming and well equiped. The welcome by the owners Margaret and Greg is warm and make you feel at home. The safari's (with Greg as passionate and knowledgable guide) are great, the view over the lake on the deck of the main lodge is fantastic, the sunset...

What a beautiful place off the beaten track. Two large lagoons accessible via bush land tracks which were well signed and safe. It was quiet and peaceful with lots of bird life, wallabies and emus. The staff were fantastic, incredibly helpful and very friendly. Having coffee in the café overlooking the lagoon was a very special treat for the senses.We...

Dropped by the wetlands to see the birds passing many signs offering free entry to the visitor centre for guests. That was true enough but be prepared to pay ten dollars if you step outside. A simple charges apply message would be polite. Wetlands and hinterlands are beautiful.
