This is the third time I have stayed at Licuala Lodge and it has maintained its excellent standard on all three visits. Mick and Sue are wonderful hosts, making every visitor feel truly welcome without being intrusive. During a stay there you can expect regular visits from local cassowaries who pop in to see what's happening. Watching them from the...

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at! Couldn't believe the free beer offer! Plus the owners are lovely, made us feel so welcome! Also loved the family of Cassowrys that wandered through every day! Also have a bbq that you can use which is really good if you don't want to pay for restaurants all the...

I am not a b&b person normally but i loved staying here and I did quite a bit of research before. The rooms are set off from the living and eating area and Mike and Sue were incredibly nice and cooked us the most amazing breakfasts! It is very close to mission beach which made it easy to travel to...

This is the perfect B&B if you're travelling through Qld. Wonderful Colonial style accommodation with excellent facilities set in rain forest grounds. The swimming pool is worth a mention as it fits perfectly into its surroundings. Lounge and facilities if you want to prepare an evening meal - faultless. As for the breakfast - best omellettes!!!! ps We even saw...

Mike & Sue really are true 'hosts with the most'. Nothing was too much trouble and it felt like you were staying with friends. It can be as relaxed or lively as you make it and with only 5 rooms and no children under 10, this was our perfect stay, we will certainly remember this week for many years. Both...

What a great place - nice room, fab rain forest pool and the beautiful gardens. The Lodge was a super place to relax and unwind during my stay in Australia. I enjoyed the magic fridge particularly, as I did the relaxed welcome and great sense of humour of the owners Sue and Mick. The visits by the cassowary were a...

We spent 3 nights at Licuala in its beautiful rainforest surroundings. It's a great base for the activities in the area, everything we did (including one of the restaurants) offered a free shuttle to and from the lodge. Mick and Sue looked after us superbly well. They took care of all of our bookings and we very much enjoyed breakfast...
