We stayed one night & wished we had stayed longer. This was definately the best B&B that we stayed at during our travels in Australia. The accommodation is set in a lovely block just across from the main house, with a terrace & seating for each room. Really clean & smart. The owners have developed this B&B in a beautiful...

It's now nearly four years that my wife and I stayed at Licuala Lodge. It was all just perfect, only our stay for a day was way to short!

This is the place to stay in Queensland if you want to experience lowland rainforest, beaches and islands whilst being thoroughly spoilt. Mick and Sue's verandahed property set in tropical grounds is spotless, screened, quiet and yet easily accessible. There is something for everyone here, be it the variety (including home-made fare) at breakfast to the wildlife (large and small)...

We spent our first week in Australia at Licuala Lodge at Mission Beach, Queensland. It was a perfect introduction to the tropics. The hosts, Sue and Mick, went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Located in the rain forest, it has an exquisite garden, beautiful pool with waterfall and a visiting cassowary family. Our room...

The bathroom was small with a shower and toiletries. No TV’s in the room but there was one in the shared lounge area which also had a small kitchen area and the fridge with...

We had a really fantastic time at Licuala Lodge at the end of June. Boooking procedures were easy and very laid back. Pre holiday information was very comprehensive, and we stopped off in Innisfail (on Mick and Sue's recommendation) for a bite before getting to Licualu. We arrived late at night to a warm welcome (after a couple of glasses...

Due to our tight itinerary we could stay for only 2 nights. Breakfast was great, the rooms very clean and our hosts superb! We immediately felt at home at Licuala Lodge and definitely want to come back! Uli and Mats, Germany

I cant reccomend this place enough. Myself and my new wife were on honeymoon travelling from Cairns to Brisbane and stopped in mission beach for 3 days. This place is a little paradise to chill and relax. The gardens are fantastically kept by Mick. The pool is fantastic too. Its hidden away in a corner of the gardens and when...

My wife and I stayed for two nights in late April of 2008. We found the experience thoroughly relaxing and refreshing. The grounds are exceptionally landscaped, the room handsome, clean and functional. Sue and Mick were thoughtful and kind. Our brekky was not as outstanding as reported by other guests, but thas was not a major issue for us. It...
